This was my third stay in Pollet, always on the occasion of our British Remembrance Day (the 11th of November, at 11:00) ceremony. From my first fairly critical review, Pollet continues to improve; amd it does so with great difficulty, considering the past economic/political.military conflicts in Cote d'Ivoire. However, things are changing (except the dreadful condition of the road from...

We stayed one night at the Pollet on our way from San Pedro. Sassandra is a charming town, but the hotel choice is very limited and we ended up at the Pollet. The hotel is very African and bit run down, but we thought it was not too bad, especially since we didn't have high expectations. We took a suite...

Stayed at this hotel one night and although it was simple so it was not that bad anyway. Wanted to stay at the Best of Africa lying about 35 km from Sassandra, but unfortunately it was closed, would think for quite a while because it was quite ruined everything and overgrown. So we turned back to Sassandra and chose this...

The hotel is very central located with a very nice view of the town, lagoon and sea. But, we arrived to find a bathroom with out a toilet seat. No shower curtain, so everything in it gets wet. Aircon was very noisy. Bed stank of old farts. We wanted to stay for 4 nights and not once was our rooms...

My first experience of The Pollet was not good, but having worked in this trade for over 50 years, I decided not to be put off and go back, for the occasion of the British Remembrance Day (11am on the 11th November) - we have some WW2 casualties buried in the Sassandra Municipal Cemetery. I decided to go back to...

We went out west of Abijdan to look at surf spots and Le Pollet was recommended as the place to stay in Sassandra. We arrived and found the hotel comfortable and the staff was very friendly. They helped us get all our stuff up to our room and made sure we were settled in. We went off exploring and came...

I went to Sassandra on the Easter Saturday of 2012, wih a group of friends from various Embassies in Abidjan. It was unfortunate that there was a total power cut in the region from the Friday night before, and whilst the Hotel had a Stand By generator the staff refused to switch it on until after 18h30. The inevitable happened!...

We stayed 1 week in this charming place, with an amazing sight on the city, the ocean and the river. The hotel le Pollet is in the heart of the city, the area is full of surprises. They even have a web site: http://lepollet.jimdo.com/
