We had a wonderful experience here! The place was very clean and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The views of the lake are amazing, you really can’t beat the location! Would highly recommend :)
The location of this hotel is great, central location for walking, great views of the lake (we had to walk down the parking lot to get this), but our room smelled SO strongly of Febreeze! This is probably related to trying to compensate for past negative reviews saying that the rooms had a musty smell. Our room (49) is definitely dated, but clean. Obvious mold on the bathroom walls but a decent bed, mini-fridge and parking space right outside our room. Decent for a night but wouldn't want to stay in this room for longer.
Despite it being a stressful summer where we’ve all had to look at everything through a new (somewhat jaded) lens, it was so refreshing to be able to find a bit of true escape, if only for a long weekend. From the second we pulled into the Park Lane (Easy ride from MA and right off the exit on 87) we knew we’d picked the right place to settle for this rare weekend out with our three kids (6, 3 & 1 yrs old). There were kids playing Marco Polo in the pool, a recently built playground that all three immediately ran to with a view of Lake George, and umbrella covered tables right over the private beach where we could relax with a bottle of wine next to a gas fire pit. There were plenty of water toys to take out (paddle boats, boards, kayaks, etc.) and Kayla and the rest of their staff were great with the kids. Gorgeous views of the lake, mountains, and all of the Para sailing/historic tour boats honking to the kids. We caught sunfish and perch right off the motel docks, while the two younger kids played in the sand, so even on the day we stuck close to home base, there was plenty to do. The entire time, we had forgotten about the stress we’ve been dealing with in 2020 and really settled in. The Park Lane gets high marks for its walkability as it’s right at the heart of the Village. There were plenty of grocery, coffee, wine shops and food options still open for business. To top it off, the owner and his staff played Disney movies under the stars each night after sunset by the pool which everyone loved. Popcorn and PJs for the kids, while adults had a few beverages made for a perfect cap each night we’d come back from a great day in Lake George. We plan on making the Park Lane a yearly part of our Adirondack tradition.…
The room was very comfortable. The room has a medium size refrigerator that held a lot in my opinion and microwave.Enjoyed our stay here. Right on the lake..small beach area out front but you have full use of the kayaks, paddle boats, canoes etc. without any extra charge to use these. Two minute walk into Lake George Village..
The Park Lane Motel was just right for myself, my daughter and young grandsons. The room was clean, attractive and well supplied with towels. The bed linens were crisp and inviting. There were a microwave, refrigerator and cable television. We opted out of daily maid service and managed just fine. The location is within walking distance of restaurants, Shepherd Park and the famous steamboats. We particularly loved the fenced, heated pool. It was big, clean and accessible for all. At night, the management presented an outdoor family movie at the pool. Our fellow vacationers were mostly family groups. Covid precautions were a part of our vacation. Masks and social distancing were required throughout the Village. We will definitely return to this lovely motel.
