Detailed Reviews
Lake Crest Inn is a great place to stay, location is perfect you can walk to restaurant's and shops. Very very clean from rooms to the pool and property. Owner and workers take great pride in this property. All of the staff was so accommodating, from Pauline at the desk, to our cleaning lady :) Rooms where very spacious even though we didn't have a lake view room, you could still see the lake from our patio. We will defiantly be back again.

We had a great time during our stay at Lake Crest Inn! The Lake Crest Inn is close to many restaurants on the water and other attractions, including the steamship, boat rides and many other stores in town. It was convenient for our group to be walking distance to everything!
The Lake Crest Inn itself was clean and staff was very accommodating and hospitable- the breakfast sandwiches and coffee were also delicious. We were able to relax by the pool and dip our feet in at the shoreline of Lake George during some downtime as well. Can't wait for another visit!

We stayed at the Lake Crest Inn June 25-27. The accommodations were great, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The Inn is on the Lake. The Inn is centrally located and we were able to walk to the steamship tour and numerous restaurants without having to take the car.
The Inn has a pool which worked very well for my grandson.
We were able to sit after dinner in front of our room and chat with the family, after the day was completed. I really enjoyed that also.
The people at the breakfast bar were all extremely cheerful, helpful and accommodating. Really a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
I am looking forward to my next stay at Lake Crest Inn.

This was my first visit and it will be my last. We booked this specific hotel because they had availability with two rooms next to each other, there’s 7 of us. We double confirmed over the phone with their front desk that the rooms were definitely next to each other at which time we were assured they were. When we arrived and were assigning our room numbers they were not next to each other but in fact on separate floors. When trying to resolve the situation calmly the women behind the desk stated “I don’t know how to change it I’m new here” when we asked to speak to the manger we were told we would receive a call back by 2, when the room was ready and we could speak to her then. In the meantime she was going to see if she could move our rooms around with someone who has not yet checked in. Fast forward to, 3 o’clock we arrived back to the hotel since we did not revive a call to check on things. The managers husband makes it very clear there was nothing he could do and states his employee would have never stated such a thing when the computer says otherwise, and that they are advised not to promise room numbers. Be also stated that she would not have tried to move Anything around and didn’t state as such because the other room had already been “pre checked in”. He then proceeded to tell us he can either give us a refund or we can take our keys. In which we replied, “how are we suppose to get a refund when we don’t have another hotel to stay in”. It is now half pass three and we still have not gotten our keys.

When booking at this hotel, my family expected to get at minimum, a clean and functioning room. However, upon arriving at the room, we did not receive any of those qualities. Once entering the room, there was this foul odor that lingered throughout our whole stay. It was concerning especially during this time when we are still amidst the COVID pandemic. The carpet also contained stains and was very dirty. When wiping the tables, there was a yellowish color that resulted. Furthermore, the bedsheets were old and also contained some sort of color. Outside of these two components, there were no amenities such as a coffee machine, clock, etc. The bathroom had no locks and they too, felt dirty. However, on the bright side, the staff was very friendly. I hate writing these reviews especially towards a family-owned business, but when the sanitation is questionable at the very best, I have to. I would advise others against from staying at this hotel, especially during this COVID period.

Front Desk staff were very friendly checking us in and letting us know some local options. It is on the main strip in town and is one of the closest motels to the downtown eateries and shops. (There is a large strip of hotels all together and they’re the second closest to the downtown). Rooms are older but bathroom was recently updated and appears they have been working on lots of renovations. Room was clean and great for the price and location. Beach area is not really a beach area but there is a nice public beach within a few minutes walk where all by the charter boat tours are. They also have a pool that is upkept well. Parking is limited in area so it was nice they had a big parking lot to park in a great location.

Great little place, close to everything. Staff is very friendly. One major complaint during our stay...a large group..a very large group, had no respect for anyone else on the property. They set up camp overlooking the pool area, near where cars were parked, walking thru them all day long with Grills, and cooking stuff. It was crazy! They had Grills going all hours of the day and night. A few other guests including myself had to check our vehicles throughout the day to make sure there were ni scratches,
dents, etc from them lugging their crap all around. On Thursday July 26th, after the firework show, they were out cooking until 1 am! Loud group of people, including small children. They left stuff by the lake front, and in the parking lot while they were not there. Very disrespectful to all the other guests. It was a shame that other guests were commenting on how bad it was. Hopefully management remembers this fiasco next time a large group like this one wants to stay there, and send them somewhere else.
It is a cute little place though.

Spent 4 days at the Lake Crest Inn with family. Great location and the pool was fantastic! My grandchildren loved the pool! Rooms were spacious and very clean. The young lady at the front desk was very nice during check-in as well as the cleaning staff, very personable. Highly recommend this motel and will go back again.

Unfortunately I was cut on glass IN OUR BED upon our arrival.
The women that worked at check in were sweet and apologetic but the manager (an older man) was completely dismissive and did not care that I was literally bleeding. Housekeeping had broken a lightbulb and did not vacuum or check after. Not only was there glass in our bed but it was EVERYWHERE on the furniture, carpet, and even bathroom.
We weren’t expecting much from the hotel due to the price and reviews but we did expect a clean safe room. The manager did not offer an apology let alone a comp or discount and we were very disappointed. We were dismissed and sent to a new room with a worse view of the lake. I couldn’t even imagine what might have happened if we brought our kids. Will not stay here again.

We have been coming to Lake Crest Inn for about 3 years in a row now and wouldn't change a thing! Well; one thing I would change: to allow dogs since I am a doggy mom and I hate to leave him behind!
Rooms are Adirondack-style and each room has a 32" TV. Free Wi-Fi and parking is available. Lake access to swim or swim at the pool. Great view of the lake!
The lady at the front desk is an absolutely pleasure to speak with. She was very helpful with everything that I needed and went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful one!
I would highly recommend staying at Lake Crest Inn!
It is in the heart of the Village of Lake George and everything is within a walk distance!
