As an engineer I work a stressful job. I spent this past weekend at the Lyn Aire and was able to completely decompress! Highly recommend visiting the lake which is only a few minutes away. There are also some local trails that are really worth seeing.
My wife and I had a very relaxing couple of days at the Lyn Aire. The place is boutique but is run with care and attention. The price point is beyond fair and the location is convenient and beautiful. Easy access to the bike lane and trails nearby. Thanks guys - see you next time!
What a wonderful experience we had staying 2 nights at the the Lyn Aire Motel for our anniversary. Motel was beautifully decorated for the summer season. Check-in was a breeze and they acknowledged our special occasion with hospitality. The room was awesome. All of the staff were so polite and helpful during our stay, they really go the extra mile. Looking forward to our next stay - hopefully for longer next time :)
Based on reviews, we stayed here on 6/24 and 6/25/2022. Most reviews raved about this motel. Staying there, we were wondering how they possibly gave high reviews. Our room was on 1st floor of main building. Pros: Close to village of Lake George. Cons: 1) Hair dryers in room in motel write up.....None in room, but old bracket was there. 2) Premium TV channels......Listed on card in room.....None on TV 3) On-line photos of room shows nice lighting and pictures on walls.... No pictures but hooks were in walls. Lighting very dim and dreary due to low wattage bulbs. 4) Hanging lamp in room did not work at all, and the "white" shade was dirty and had gobs of some type of brown stuff on it. 5) Bathroom floor tiles stuck to our feet, and lifted off floor when walked on. 6) Upon arriving, the tables on the deck were covered in bird droppings. 7) Ice Machine was filthy 8) TP would come flying out of holder whenever paper we tried to roll it out. 9) Made the mistake of lifting the bottom sheet of one of the beds....BIG MISTAKE, stains running down the side. 10) No Closet in room. 11) Required to pay in full PRIOR to completing stay (now I see why) 12) no receipt at check out. More could be written, but you can get the idea.…
The room and the bath were oversized. Convenient to have the refrigerator and microwave. No other guests in the section where we stayed (yet still very expensive), so we enjoyed our breakfast at the tables out front. Downside is the toilet is low and front steps up the porch are tricky for folks with bad knees. The outside is very inviting and looks perfect for families.
I forgot the convenience of backing your car right up to your room to unload! Haven’t stayed at a motel in a long time, and really enjoyed the experience. This motel is just outside the main Lake George crowds and is super quiet, we basically crashed after 10 both nights and didn’t miss hearing doors slamming at all hours of the night like in resort hotels. It has a retro feel but all the bathrooms are updated with own thermostat. Yes, it’s not “modern” but I got awesome night sleep and enjoyed the quiet. Super clean bedding and comfortable. The pool area was also very clean. Play area for kiddos. Family owned and operated, I like supporting independent operators and try to avoid the corporate locations.
My family and I loved it here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay at lake George plenty of room for kids to be kids. Basketball court pool ping pong and footsball table. The property managers are a great couple and very helpful
We just returned yesterday from a last-minute trip to the Adirondacks. I searched online for a small, clean motel which is the type of property that we prefer. I found the website for the Lyn Aire motel and counted on the online reviews that said the rooms were clean - we don't need fancy or high-end, but cleanliness is a must. I am happy to report that we were not disappointed. In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much that on the morning of our planned departure, we asked the manager if there were any rooms available that night, as we would love to stay another day. Luckily for us, our rooms (we were staying in two adjoining rooms) were available that night and we did not even need to pack and move to another room. So we extended our 4-night stay to a 5-night and it was great. The property managers, Jess and C.J. were incredibly kind and welcoming upon our arrival, and we had a chance to chat with them several times throughout our stay, and it is evident that they care about this property and their guests. They did everything they could to make sure our stay was a good one. C.J. does a fantastic job maintaining the grounds and the heated pool, which we enjoyed several nights of our stay. It was so nice to come home after a day full of activities to relax in the warm, heated pool. The grounds are full of flowers and nice landscaping, and the pool area is clean and very comfortable. We stayed in 2 of the Deluxe King and Queen rooms on the second floor of the main building that overlook the pool. There was even a nice table and chairs on our balcony and we sat there most nights and mornings enjoying a cup of coffee and enjoying the clean mountain air. When I made my reservations, I believe I was told that these rooms had recently been renovated. There was nothing fancy about them, but they were clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here and we definitely will if we return to the area. It is located on Route 9 and the road noise is an issue, but it didn't bother us while in the pool or balcony, and we used our air conditioner during our entire stay, so we couldn't hear it in the room.…
I've been staying here for years now, and I can honestly say that the staff and owner are outstanding. The facilities are immaculate, and the location is excellent. This is a great place to stay if you have kids. Enjoy!
We have stayed at this motel for a family vacation for the last 8 years. Very clean and accommodating. Very nice pool and continental breakfast, very close to Downtown Lake George and the Outlets. Motel has basketball court, pavilion swing set. Parking is good.
