This resort is in a beautiful location. The views of Lake George were spectacular. The resort is beautifully maintained, the grounds were immaculate, the amenities perfect and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. This was a very enjoyable trip and we would definitely return
Excellent accommodations, beautiful grounds, lots of things to do, lake front restaurant on site and of course the resort sits right on Lake George. This is our twentieth year and we look forward to twenty more!
We were very happy with the location of the room, not only was the view amazing but it was centrally located to everything. The landscape was absolutely beautiful and decorated for fall and they had a fire pit lite up every night. We swam in the pool and the lake they had kayaks for us to take onto Lake George and we spent sometime in the hot tub as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the Boathouse which was amazing with a view.
High class exquisite experience. Shout out to Nirvana over the top customer service, we saw her performing multiple jobs. Room was very clean and upscale. The pool is heated and the outside jacuzzi is a plus. Having the Boat House restaurant on site is a plus. He will come back soon.
The Lodges at Cresthaven is a great place for families. The rooms (or lodges, cabins, etc) are well designed and keep with the living in the mountains feel. We stayed in a 2 BR lodge and the entire cabin was great. We felt like we rented a house near the lake. The master bedroom upstairs had a (relatively corny) heart shaped jacuzzi in its large bathroom. The second bedroom was really small and could only fit bunk beds and a dresser, but it was enough for my two kids. The kitchen had all the appliances and kitchenware you would need even though we never used it. We did use the laundry a few times since we had to bring our own towels. The balcony outside was a nice place to read or play board games with the kids during the rain and reserved parking for our car was right outside the lodge. You will like it if you know what you are paying for. This is basically like renting a house. There’s no housekeeping during the week and you have to bring beach towels if you want to go to the lake or the pool. You are responsible for keeping your place clean and taking out the garbage. Some major negatives were the fact that the use of water activities (paddle boards, kayaks) closed after 3:00 and the restaurant was closed half the week. However, despite the negatives, we enjoyed ourselves. The activities around the lake (lake activities, hiking, biking, etc) were fun. I do wish we skipped some of the restaurants in Lake George and prepared our own meals more since the kitchenette was nice and the restaurants weren’t that great.…
In all my years of traveling I've never seen a hotel so out of line with what is advertised online. This is not the luxury resort it claims to be. While they have a nice location on the lake, they skimp on every aspect of the hotel itself. You have a window of time where you may be able to get in touch with someone that actually works at the hotel (10am to around 7pm). If you have any issue outside of that window good luck. They go out of their way to be unavailable. We had no cell phone coverage. The internet was down for our entire stay. And the rooms don't dial out. So you have to assume that you'll have no contact with the outside world during this time. But you will get very close with your neighbors. Because the walls are paper thin. You will hear every detail of whats going on in the room next to you whether you want to or not, as well as all the yelling and chaos that goes on outside throughout the night. We tried to talk to the staff to find a way to salvage this trip but they did not respond to any messages and hung up on us when we asked for a manager. The level of pettiness is remarkable. Do your homework before booking this place. You'll start to see a pattern in the reviews that tells the story.…
The property sits on a beautiful part of the lake with great views. The property is on a very steep hill, they do offer golf cart rides down to the amenities for those that need it. But that is about as much customer service as you will get here. The front desk staff is not accommodating at all and acts like you should be lucky to be staying there. The cleanliness and state of the lodge we stayed in was not worth $1100/night. There were mice in our upstairs bedroom, spider webs everywhere, both screen doors were broken and the service was subpar at best. When we mentioned mice to the front desk they weren’t even apologetic.
Last minute getaway with husband and two children (age 1 and 3) was perfect. We stayed in lodge 22 which was a bit of a walk to the action but was a perfect size for our family. We enjoyed the lake, kayaking, paddle boarding, the beautiful pool, restaurant and scheduled activities (BBQ, bon fire, carnival day, beach yoga). The lake was calm, shallow and perfect for the kids to run in and play. It was also nice to relax on a float. The lodges are perfectly decorated, large and have everything you need for your stay.
The Lodges at Cresthaven have the best location and amenities on Lake George. For the most part it is family orientated with many things for kids to do like visit with a mermaid, see wild birds of prey, birthday parties, paddle boards and canoes, just to name a few. The lodges are clean and very comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and most even have a view of the lake! We were fortunate enough to get a lakefront cabin this time and it was easily the most convenient cabin we have stayed in. (we had been here 3 previous trips).
Amazing vacation at The Lodges! This is by far the best place to stay on Lake George. We wanted a nice relaxing week on LG and that's exactly what we got. The property is very clean with beautiful landscaping that only adds to the wonderful views of the lake that can't be beat. The lodge was very clean and comfortable with updated amenities. The patio above the grotto was super relaxing. The indoor/outdoor pool was clean with plenty of seats. Highly recommend the Boathouse Restaurant for food and drinks then close the night at the large outdoor fireplace overlooking the lake. Everyone working there was helpful and friendly. Recommend using their customer service texting system. Very helpful with recommendations around the area. We'll definitely be staying here again!
