I stay here multiple times throught the summer. This is BY FAR the best camping experience I have ever had! Lots of activites planned for the kids throughout the day, so it takes the weight of having to plan out activities for your kiddos while im trying to relax. In the evening theres wagon rides, and a dj by the bar and restaurant, which is kiddy corner to the large playground and pool. My favorite part is the kayaking (you can rent those, canoes, or tubes!) and small beach area. Theres also a stiltwalker that roams the park sometimes and makes ballon animal for the kids! All the staff is super friendly! The camping sites where really nice, and i stayed in a cabin one time. The cabins are OVERLY AMAZING! Stocked with plates, cups, and other kitchen utensils, tv, showers, couch, etc... Also just beautiful beautiful cabins inside and out. I will always recommend this place to everyone i know!!…
We booked a 2 night stay in one of the cabins and was very happy with the setup. It was clean and minimilast..with a great porch and a fire ring. They had tons of activities for the kids, bingo, karaoke, movies on a screen outside, arcade, restaurant, store, bonfires, etc. It is a campground....tons of rvs that cost more than my house, seasonal campers, and visitors like us. Loved it and the area....you can't go wrong. Don't expect a perfect, trendy, airbnb experience...it is a very large campground, so keep your expectations in check.
We love spending our summers here. Donna in the store is always so welcoming and helpful. We also loved playing bingo and the crafts we get to do with the Fun and Games department led by Duane. Maintenance staff, Bob, was also very helpful all summer long with us.
Great for families. Bar and grill on site was really appreciated. Reasonable prices for good stuff. Activities were great. Games, bonfire and movie were super for family. We have been coming to Lake George Escape for 20 years now and will be coming again next year.
On the last day of vacation my daughter lost her favorite panda stuffed animal. She along with her older sister went to the lodge store to see if anyone had turned it in. Although no one had Donna turned her tears to a smile by giving them passes to build a new stuffed animal best friend. It warms my heart that there are kind people such as Donna out there and she deserves a huge shoutout for being so kind to my babies!!
Just wanted to give Donna a shout out from the lodge store. She is such a sweetheart ! She knows where everything is if we are looking for something. She is very happy and always smiling 😊. She is always willing to take the time to talk to us . We look forward to seeing her when we go in . She is definitely a great part of LGE!
We first found Lake George Escape during the pandemic. We stayed a week and really enjoyed our selves. Then we found out about the Spring and Fall Flings and decided to stay for the Fall Fling. That clinched it, we signed up for a seasonal site and we were fortunate enough to meet Donna at the camp store. Donna is friendly, informative, and I look forward to visiting with her and the other staff members whenever we go to the camp store. We look forward to seeing Donna and the other staff members next year.
Our RV site was very unlevel. Firepit was in pull through next to road. Kids running through our site as well as others. No parental guidance! Adults are noisy. This was during the week! Could not imagine staying over a weekend.
We stayed at Lake George Escape during the last 2 weeks of the season. We were in the Blue section which was great for our 42' fifth wheel. Most sites in this section are spacious pull thru. Ours was a pull thru with a bit of a hump, so my jacks were a high at the front and rear but the site was spacious with easy access. Overall, we found the campground to be well maintained with lots of amenities for families. They had a really nice dog park. The onsite restaurant has a reputation for being quite good (as of this writing we did not try it personally). There was a well stocked store and the staff, especially Debbie, was very helpful and pleasant. The location is close to the Village of Lake George, Diamond Point and Bolton Landing. It is about a 90 min drive to Lake Placid. Of course this is a great summer destination but it is also quite beautiful for the autumn season. When in the Lake George area I recommend this campground.…
love the campground i have been camping there for years. but some of the costs have been increased to much, the extras (rental prices ) on equipment is high. some of the food menu prices are high some are good so that's just really my opinion. I don't expect to see restaurant pricing in a camp ground.
