Arrived to 120sf (small) 1bd cabin overlooking the major road and surrounded by others. It lacked insulation and provided only a space heater. We went into the bedroom and there old cheetos (snack food) on the bedstand. We had to find alternative accommodations immediately given the unsanitary conditions and COVID.

We stayed in cabins 11 and 10, two bedrooms each at the top of the hill. Both cabins were clean, and kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and cookware. Good a/c, VERY comfortable beds. Decor was nice. Pool was open and clean. Setting is lovely - we saw deer, a fox, hummingbirds and bats! Firepit and grill as advertised. Plastic adirondack chairs were so flimsy that one shattered when sat on - oops! A few cons - no wifi at all in these cabins which are too far from the office, TV did not work. Also check-out is at 10am which seems a bit mean when check-in isn't until 2 (we were turned away and asked to come back in an hour when we arrived at 1), however the manager who greeted us when we did check in was lovely, helpful and friendly (sorry I forget her name).

Friends were vacationing in the Lake George area and we decided to join them last minute. Looked for lodging near Twin Birches and came across this lovely stop online. The reviews were good, and Forest Lodge and Cabins lived up to them. We stayed in a single room, as stunning, rustic—and spotless (b/c that matters big-time)—as pictured on the website. A/C worked well; unit has a heater for cooler nights. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and water pressure good. We enjoyed sitting on the porch outside our room, which overlooked the main road and the woods across the way. Price was extremely reasonable, considering proximity to lake, LG Village and Bolton’s Landing (as well as our friends). If you choose not to drive, a trolley runs every half hour or so up/down the main drag ($1/person/ride each way) We also had a chance to view the cabins; these were equally clean, rustic and were well-equipped with kitchens, living areas, porches, etc. A large house is also in the property; it sleeps 7 and can be rented year-round. (The other buildings are seasonal.) Construction of a gazebo and treehouses-as-lodging are also in the works. Other amenities included: -ample parking near rooms/cabins -crystal-clear (non-heated) pool and restful surround with lots of seating (varied types—wicker sofa under pergola was THE BEST!) -charcoal grills: one near each of the motel buildings and one/cabin -considerate and attentive service, particularly from Nancy; leaving extra towels outside our door in a basket was such a nice touch! -WiFi and Smart TV (This was only feature that was problematic, but seems to be more an issue of the entire region vs. only at the venue. I don’t mind not having TV but Hubby does.) -mini-fridge and small coffee pot (with fixings :) Would definitely stay there again!

We got there Friday evening, the lights in the room didn't work, only in the bathroom. We had no TV on Friday evening. The drain in the sink was full of black hair.. gross!... The shower needed a major cleaning. I called the owner Saturday am and was told that we had no TV because of the cable company, which was supposed to be fixed that afternoon. I was also told the room would be refreshed. When we got back that evening, sink had not been cleaned, lights still did not work, we had a coffee maker but got no coffee or cups, and TV still did not work. I called and was told that the cable company came, but it was now not working because of the storm (which was earlier in the day). I told him I did not believe that as my husband was reading reviews where several said they had no TV. He then told me basically that if I wanted to watch TV, why was I there. That people don't come there to watch TV and also that they never advertised that they have cable TV. I said that we booked it from booking.com and it said" This lodge room offers a TV with cable channels" I was then told " well it doesn't say we have cable though" .. I think that is being VERY DECEPTIVE!! The fact that he was so sarcastic and argumentative about it made me SO ANGRY!!.. I will NEVER stay at Forest Hill Lodge again!

My family and I stayed for a few nights recently. Found it to be clean and the staff was very accommodating. The kids loved the playground and the pool. The fire pits outside the cabins was a nice feature. We will stay again.
