This campground is very clean. When someone leaves the entire site gets raked and cleaned up. Seem to be mostly adults, though there were some children. There were some amenities that would please kids, but more for the younger kids.
I thought the cost for visitors or for an additional adult to spend the night was a bit expensive. I could justify the price if there was an additional person staying in one of the rental units but not on one of the campsites.
The rules are a bit much. I don’t see any reason a teen couldn’t stay in a tent on their parents campsite, but the rule is no tents.
Would be great if this was on the trolley stop to Lake George Village, or if the campground provided that service like do many others do.
Overall, my husband and I would probably stay again because it is clean and quiet but I don’t see this as a family location.
The campground itself is beautiful n one of the cleanest campgrounds I have ever stayed at. The bathrooms were spotless. Our actual site was nice, level with grass and some tree cover. If you are looking for a clean quiet campground this place is great. If you are looking for a family, kid friendly campground I would look elsewhere. This campground is attached at an adult retirement community and there r almost no kids except for a random grandkid visiting here n there. It is almost eerily quiet. There r no activities or events at this campground either.
I have camped at Ledgeview several times. I love this campground. However, this year we found a very different atmosphere. The minute we walked into the office, we were greeted by Mary and her staff. Everyone was so friendly and cheerful. The grounds were impeccable. Richard and his staff were doing their best to keep up with all the falling pine needles. But, hey, it IS the Adirondacks & after all you are camping, not glamping. I come here with my kids BECAUSE there is no over the top amenities such as music, bars etc. This allows my family to spend QUALITY time with one and another. The bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen. Ann, Crystal and Mary do a fantastic job!! I will camp here over & over again even when my kids are grown. The security gates at the front give me peace of mind knowing we are safe from anyone wandering in.

Arrived after a tire blow out and diving in a thunderstorm and lightening. Our site was nice and level, nice pine tree coverage. Quiet, almost an adult park, no pets, clean, paved roads. Pool clean and I used it alone. We rode the rail trail on our bikes. Enjoyed our ourselves. Close to outlets, not far from Lake George proper. Had lunch at Docksider good took back roads out of tourist area. ( 1. Miles) Enjoyable on the lake. Nice quiet campground close to many things

Clean, well kept campground. The reason we won't go back is that's all it is, a campground. No extra activities like bingo or dances,or arts and crafts. If you're looking to get away and relax, stay here. It's perfect for that but not what we like. It's also further away from town than we wanted and once traffic backed up, it was crazy. More personal issues than this being a bad place to stay. Just not right for us.

If you like retirement communities this campground is for you. We booked a few weekends in a row here. We stayed from Memorial weekend through Americade and until the Adirondack wine and food festival. This campground was never full, now we know why. The grounds are nice, but definitely could have used some serious raking up from the layers of pine needles. There is never and kids around the pool area or anywhere else, the rec room is always empty. So eerie. The only kids we'd occasionally see are little toodlers there with the grandparents. When we booked, we add 2 more weekends. Mary, one of the daughters to the owner edited our booking upon arrival. No receipt, so we had no idea she inadvertently dropped off 1 of our 2 kids from the reservation. She approached our site while we were cooking dinner and stated we had one more kid then on the reservation and said we needed to go to the camp store immediately to pay for the other kid. She was not very plesant at all and was accusing us of being liars. We have never been so mistreated by any other campground. So insulting. There are way more tasteful ways to deal a mistake like this, especially if it was her mistake to begin with. This is not a family friendly campground. Between us and our 3 families and friends that booked to see us, we brought in almost $1800 between us all for the multiple weekends that otherwise would have sat empty like many of their sites. Then get treated like criminals because Mary is incompetent with no people skills of socialization. What a rotten person. We asked about added and paying for one extra day at one point and she called us and yelled at us then said no. I don't get it. It is the very first campground that we've ever been to that did not have a activity event calendar. No kids anywhere. No crafts, no bike parades, no movie night, nothing. It is definitely the most uncomfortable campground we have ever stayed in. They really don’t want kids there. They have a wonderful image in the brochure of all the amenities geared at kids, but the rules have you walking on eggshells the whole time you are there. Not a campground for kids at all. I think they should market this campground for what it really is and what they really want it to be ... a retirement community for seasonal campers. If you want only PEACE and QUIET in a gated facility with no fun at all, this is the campground for you. If you like to have a nice mixture of peace, quiet, fun, music and a few drinks, spend the money and go anywhere else.…

A lovely campground, well maintained and immaculate facilities. The sites are spacious, as if you were in a state park. Although there are several seasonal sites, they are well kept and attractive. It is always peaceful, even on weekends. Nice and close to attractions, and outlet mall. Staff is very friendly and always working on the grounds. Restrooms are maintained several times a day. No dogs are allowed, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem. The place is always full. Campers are friendly and rules are actually followed.

Large level sites, beautiful and clean restrooms and showers. This campground is very peaceful and quiet but is only a few miles from the many activities in the Lake George area. There is a well stocked store, a beautiful, clean pool and a rec hall. This is a spotless, well cared for campground with a friendly, caring staff. I will definitely be back and would love to spend my summers here.

Wow, what an amazing stay! We are on a two year adventure across the US, Canada, and Mexico and encountered truck problems in Lake George. We needed a place to stay while our truck was being worked on and we stumbled upon Ledge View RV Park. Patty, Kevin, and Sharon were all amazing. We were unsure how long we would need to stay, but Patty was able to accommodate us quickly and get us into a great spot that we didn't need to worry about leaving. On the truck, we needed to replace the engine or purchase another truck. We decided to fly home, buy a truck and drive back. Patty even drove us to the airport in Albany! The customer service that we received was absolutely amazing. We were treated like family by every member of staff at the park and even by the fellow campers. Patty bent over backwards to accommodate us, give suggestions, advice, and more. The entire staff helped take a stressful situation and turn it into a positive experience. The RV Park is immaculate everywhere. The spaces were very well maintained and the restrooms/shower house was super clean, even cleaner than my bathroom at home! The showers had great hot water and spray which made you want to linger. The sites have water, power, and septic to them and the water was like pure spring water and tasted awesome! The Camp Store was full of everything that we needed (and then some). The pool was a great spot to relax and soak in the sun or read a book and the Rec Hall was full of any type of game you wanted. We felt like we never wanted to leave. The location is perfect and located close to everything, but off the beaten path so it is quiet and private. Once we drove our new truck back to Lake George and picked up our trailer we stayed at Ledge View again to get setup and continue our adventures. We stayed here twice for a total of 8 days and this is the ONLY place we will stay when traveling through this area again. Thank you Patty, Kevin, and Sharon!!…
