First, you must understand that this is not the same accommodation as a hotel. These cabins are very simplistic, rustic and a step above camping. With that being said, the cabins are roomy, they have showers and toilets and a cute little kitchen area. The rooms are fairly clean, but need renovations. The owner and the staff are very friendly... More

Okay, so you get there and yes, the cottages are a bit worn out, but the calm, leafy environment and the sense of getting away from it all soon takes over. Tom was brilliant when we needed a little help and our stay here strangely became one of the highlights of our New England tour. If you want shiny and... More

We stayed in the 1 bedroom cabin, and it was lovely. The owner was very accommodating to our specific check in and check out times that we had to keep. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a little more privacy with your stay in lake George.

We were really excited to go away for our last summer trip with a group of friends. I own a boston terrier and a pitbull mix. We've taken them on road trips to other dog friendly places without a problem. When we arrived here the first thing the owner said was "What kind of dogs are those?" I am not... More

As much as I'd like to praise this small family-owned endeavor, I cannot. Needs major updating !!! Worst "sleep" I have (n)ever had. plus too few electrical outlets, zero closet/storage/shelving space other than a bit in the kitchenette (no oven or microwave - just a 2 burner cook stove and 1 outlet for coffee pot). Claustrophobic sized bathroom with a... More

I have visited the Amber Latern Motel 2x this season. The Amber Latern has everything a family needs. The fact that the Amber Latern has a pool, play area with jungle gym, basketball hoop, volleyball, ping pong table and a fire pit makes they stay much easier with children of all ages. The office is kept open so that the... More

I was there from June 22nd to June 28th and I got a nice deal for the week... because it was before the "summer opening season", The place is quiet, even if it's close to the road. We could hear cars, but nothing too annoying. However, the cottages are outdated. I didn't think pictures, but it was fine if you... More
