My boyfriend and I were looking for a weekend getaway where we could get massages and relax. We have previously booked another Spa, but they told us that they were expecting a very large group of teenagers that weekend and it would not be relaxing. We then decided to call here and see if we can get massages booked. The...

Although this is an older establishment, the service is excellent and the food plentiful. The rooms are very clean the the staff is very accommodating.. I attend every January with fellow quilters and they give us our own room and help us with tables, setup and what er we need.

Just stayed the weekend with the Mrs. and my son at the former Granit, now the Hudson Valley Resort in Kerhonkson in Ulster County and enjoyed every minute. It is a magnificent older edifice and has a large beautiful lobby. The hotel staff was superb--always friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the large indoor swimming pool as I am a...

An old hotel, yet specious and clean. I had the opportunity to visit the kitchen and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and eagerness to please. The food was also, well prepared and presented. This hotel cater for big groups and would serve food at one of the ballrooms but if you come alone you can utilize the small...

First, the roped off area in the middle of the enormous lobby with trash cans and buckets obviously collecting water from the leaking roof was not what we expected at nearly $200/night. Second, NO RESTAURANT?!? The hotel is 30 minutes from New Paltz and the only close food is a pizza joint. I would have expected a "resort and spa"...

My wife & I decided to stop off on our way to Saratoga Springs for a Regional meeting. I wanted to select a hotel along the I-87, Hampton Inn was fully booked, I saw Hudson Valley Resort & Spa. Photos looked good and everything else including breakfast. (I neglected to really check out the location) When I did, I found...

We recently stayed at the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa. The staff, for the most part, was very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms were dark, the bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioning/heat unit was thick with dust. There was a country dancing weekend going on while we were there, and we could hear the very loud music up...

I've been here three times, and am so glad there are still hotels in the Catskills. Get to know the area. Take a trip down the road to Deep Hole, a place for swimming. Keep in mind, water in the Catskills is always cold. Food was great at the breakfast buffet. Custom omelettes available. Indoor pool if you like it...

This used to be a paradise, I am sure. The beautiful, expansive grounds still well taken care of. Golf, tennis, pool, kids' min-golf, etc. Unbelievably gorgeous area surrounded with blue-green forested mountains! Huge rooms with walk-in closets! But, such devastation, so sad. Even the friendly staff can't fix it. Everything is so old. If someone would invest in restoration of...
