My fiance and I stayed at Snow Goose B&B for four nights over labor day weekend. It was an incredible experience for many reasons:

Wonderful COVID Safety Measures
We felt completely safe staying here during the pandemic, as social distancing guidelines were carefully adhered to, and the place was very clean. We stayed in the Legacies room which was on its own floor and had its own private entrance. On the weekend, breakfast was brought to our room directly, and on the week days, there was a socially distant buffet where we could grab our food and eat separately from the other guests. The B&B only has 3 rooms, so we barely even saw any of the other guests.

The Food
Sooooo delicious! We enjoyed every one of our breakfasts. I also had a dietary restriction and they were very accommodating. They use lots of local ingredients too.

Outdoor Deck & Fire Pit
There was a deck out front of our room with a hammock which was so comfortable, and other seating, we didn't want to leave. It’s a perfect spot to go out in the morning and drink your coffee. Also, each guest group has their own deck space designated to them, so we never felt like we were having to be nearby any other guests. There was also a fire pit, which we didn't end up having time to use but it would be a perfect place to make s'mores.

The Room
The room was spacious, very comfortable and had so many nice touches. It also had a kitchenette and dining area where we would eat & also used it to make sandwiches/snacks for our hikes. We slept very deeply all four nights.

The Location
Really couldn’t be more perfect - great access to hiking and nearby towns in the High Peaks region. It’s a short drive from Keene and Keene Valley where there were good dining options for dinner. The access to hiking trails is fantastic. There are tons of trailheads within driving distance and even a number of hikes in walking distance, if you feel safe walking on highway 73. We wanted to do the Indian Head hike but the trail parking lot was full, so we were actually able to walk directly from the B&B. It added on a mile and some change in each direction, but definitely doable if you’re up for it! The Ausable River is also right across the street from the property, so we explored down there one of the evenings as well.

The Owners/Staff
They were so lovely, helpful, attentive, and easy to get ahold of. We felt like we were in good hands.

Overall it was so fantastic! Looking forward to coming back again!

I generally don't like B&Bs. Usually you feel like you are a guest in a stranger's home. Usually the decor is outdated and lacks modern amenities. Then you have to awkwardly sit at a shared dinning table with a bunch of strangers and make small talk in order to get the free breakfast. Not my thing. BUT none of these things apply to Snow Goose!
The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the high peaks region of the Adirondacks. It is right in Keane Valley which is a great little town with food, shopping, etc. It is close to all of the trails you would want to hike in the region. There is even a really, really great hike off the property to Snow Mountain.
The hosts Wayne and Amy were incredibly helpful and friendly without being in your way at all. They stay in a completely separate part of the house and there are only 3 guest rooms so we barely heard the other guests while we were there. To say the place is cozy and comfortable would do a disservice to what Amy and Wayne have created. Amy literally wrote a book on home making which you can thumb through during your stay. Breakfast was incredible, with everything you could want. And there are many places to take your breakfast and eat so you don't have to sit at the dinning table with other guests if you don't want to. Oh, and did I mention they offer Sauna treatments?
We stayed in the Harmonies room on the second floor. The bed is very comfortable and my wife and I both slept great the whole time. No TV but the Wifi was excellent so you are able to stream video no problem if you bring a device. This place is above and beyond what I have come to expect from the average Bed and Breakfast. Highly recommend it!

From the moment that my husband and I walked into the Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast, I felt a sense of peace. Wayne and Amy have successfully cultivated a cozy, welcoming space in which their guests can relax and rejuvenate. Our room, Passages, had gorgeous hardwood floors, a bathroom with a copper sink and a glass shower, and a king-sized bed with a lovely, wooden headboard. We were very grateful for the complimentary snacks and for the printed "Blessing for an Adirondack Traveler" that Wayne and Amy so thoughtfully left for us in the room.
The Snow Goose's location was perfect for us; it was 5 minutes from the wedding that we attended. We took a beautiful, 20-minute drive to visit Lake Placid and we thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by the forests in their Fall splendor. We can't wait to go back to the Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast!

We had a lovely time at the Snow Goose, I would definitely go back. We stayed in the room called Harmonies, which is in the back - very quiet and peaceful.
We stayed there for two nights in August and can attest that Amy and Wayne are taking Covid regulations very seriously - I felt very comfortable staying there.

I've lost count of how many times we have stayed at the Snow Goose Inn. The location is perfect for hitting many high peaks, but close enough to Lake Placid to take advantage of the town. The hosts took EVERY PRECAUTION with regard to the Coronavirus, and I was pleased to see that they still serve that amazing breakfast (working around my food allergies) that we know and love. We didn't use the new fire pit, but we did check out the private swimming hole nearby that guests can use. Bedroom and bathroom were immaculate, comfortable, private, and quiet.
The hosts are as friendly as you would like, and just exude an aura of peace and relaxation. We made plans to go back!

I finally decided to utilize a local B&B rather than camp or day hike and Snow Goose was the perfect choice. Located very close to many trailheads, one being literally around the corner, Amy and Wayne made the stay very homey, gave great local tips, and served amazing home cooked breakfast and fresh ground coffee. It’s very clean and provides all necessities. They even provided a packed breakfast for the morning of the hike. I would highly recommend Snow Goose for any stay in the Keene Valley area!

Just the kind of place we were hoping to stay in this winter!

We spent most of our time during the day in Lake Placid, but wanted to stay in a quieter area. Inside and out, the home was very cozy. The s'mores and sauna were the cherries on top and definitely worth the extra expense after a day of ice skating and snowshoeing. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Wayne's breakfasts were fantastic and varied - pancakes to omelets, in addition to fresh coffee/tea, cereals, toast, yogurt, etc. Amy was very helpful with check-in/out and scheduling our sauna and s'mores evenings. We also felt very safe with the Covid-cautious measures in places.

The town of Keene is also quaint and a relatively short drive to Placid. We made sure to plan ahead for dinner because many places close by 8pm and fill early, and some are not open during certain week days.

We highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a relaxing few days away.

My husband and I, along with a friend booked Snow Goose for a quick visit up to the Adirondacks. The room Passages, was perfect for us! It was clean, warm and inviting. It had all the amenities we needed. Amy, our host was more than accommodating to us. . I cannot have gluten and Amy went out of her way to make sure there were food options for me readily available. Furthermore, our host had well thought out plans to accommodate guests comfortably and still maintaining safety during this COVID pandemic. I will definitely be staying here in the future.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at the Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in Harmonies which was comfortable and roomy and has a large bathroom with a great hot shower and huge bathtub (perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking). The bed has a pillowtop which would not be our choice but we were informed before reserving and we slept well. The B & B is on a busy road but we did not hear any road noise. The proprietors Amy and Wayne are wonderful hosts. My husband can be uncomfortable with B & Bs as he feels he is invading someone's home but Amy and Wayne are warm and friendly (but not intrusive) and made us feel at home. They are very informative about the surrounding area and gave good guidance on hiking and dining. Our favorite part of our stay was our hike up the beautiful Deer Brook Trail (walking distance from the B & B) to Snow Mtn and then we cut over to Rooster Comb (gorgeous 360 degree view). The other 2 couples at the B & B were friendly and it was an advantage hearing about other's adventures. We would definitely stay here again.

If you are seeking a B&B environment that is warm, quiet, comfortable, and in a superior location, the Snow Goose will check all those boxes, and more. Interesting and very helpful innkeepers Wayne and Amy offer a tasty breakfast each morning and are well-versed on local hikes and attractions. The location is superior with a couple of fine eateries and resources like The Mountaineer nearby, as are a number of trailheads.
