My wife and I stayed here in June and it was the most relaxing trip we have taken to date. We stayed in the North Center House, which was secluded at the entry, leaving us to sit on the porch and enjoy watching the bees and hummingbirds as we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast. We were able to walk to the local market where we picked up the necessities for cooking our own meals. Dartbrook Rustic is filled with unique and beautifully curated merchandise, many of which are created by local artisans in the ADK region. Jay and Steve were instrumental in helping us with what day hikes we should consider. It was wonderful walking through the beautifully maintained paths looking at the wildflowers and just enjoying nature. My favorite spot was a bench by the stream that runs through the edge of the property. We were also able to take a short drive to Lake Placid where we enjoyed canoeing on Mirror Lake. I really cannot recommend Dartbrook Lodge enough.…
Had an excellent stay at Dartbrook lodge. Clean, well appointed luxury rooms, and amazing staff. Owners run a wonderful interior goods, restaurant and lodge in Keene valley that is a must to-do when staying in the Lake Placid area.
My absolute favourite 2 night stay of our 2-week road trip! The Halcyon was a large, clean, beautifully furnished cabin set on the edge of a meadow surrounded by pine trees and mountain views with paths that led to a river. Everything about this place was magical. We would love to live in a place like this and have brought many back ideas to make this dream a reality! The shower was to die for with double rain heads and the toiletries were top notch. The young lady on check in/out was incredibly friendly and pleasant which goes a long way these days when so far from home.
The most perfect little cabin to call home for a weekend in the ADK. Room was spotless (modern, clean bathroom), staff was SO helpful, perfect location. We will absolutely be returning here in the future. The restaurant Forty Six, right next to the hotel, was a wonderful addition to the experience. After a 10 hour hike, we hobbled over and had the best veggie burger and lemon cheesecake on their patio. Thank you so much for making our mother-daughter weekend trip unforgettable.
Nice people. Beautiful location. And a wonderful restaurant at the corner with a very fine menu. It is called “46” and stays open late. Now serving breakfast as of this week as well. The style fits right into the Adirondack experience.
