I am quite disturbed at the shady-ness of this hotel and its management. I booked a rewards point stay for NYE, and a few days later received an email from the manager that I would have to cancel the reservation as the hotel would be closing due to Covid. I then received a voice message from the assistant manager saying the manager asked her to reach out to tell me I had to cancel for the same reason. Feeling suspicious, I called the hotel to check if they had any available reservations and was told they were booked up for NYE. So, they were lying and just trying to get rid of me, the Diamond member who was only "paying" with my earned reward points? I called the parent company who confirmed they were open and who then told the manager he had to honor my reservation. I wouldn't really have had an issue if he had said "I'm sorry, we can't accept rewards for NYE and someone failed to black it out." That to me would have seemed like an honest business situation that I would have understood, but to be manipulated and LIED to? Bad, very bad. I saved the email and voice mail in case anyone is interested...…
This is my 3rd visit to the spa at traditions. I went with a group of friends this past weekend. prior to covid anytime I asked for a robe for the salt room the staff said its "not necessary" to wear one on the salt room. I had to specifically ask to wear one and was given one begrudgingly. I thought going to the spa was about the spa experience, to me its as if staffing doesn't want to do their job of laundering the robes. I visited this past weekend with some friends. They took extensive measures to take our temperature and give us proper guidelines due to "covid" I asked the staff for a cup of water and was refused "due to covid" Are you kidding me? Why bother staying open if you cannot honor a normal request for a cup of water for a pregnant customer. This business truly needs to reconsider how they are presenting themselves to the public. Perhaps visit some other spas and see how they are ran and how they treat their customers.…
We had our daughters baby shower last weekend. From Jeanie our event planner to the cooks in the kitchen every one was courteous, professional and very helpful. We had family and friends from out of town so we all spent the night. The hotel staff were just as welcoming and the rooms were spotless. This venue / hotel is gorgeous, full of great american history and resonably priced.
Went there for a meeting last night. I was charged $35. The rolls were the high point of the meal. Mixed salad was OK. Ample size size but somewhat tasteless. The meat was hot and well cooked but bland. The mixed vegetables were just ok. They didn’t serve desert. Coffee was undrinkable. I’ll recommend not going there again!
This hotel was clean but definitely needs to have the rooms renovated. It's an old hotel so it's worn looking and has that "grandma's house" smell. Property was beautiful and there was a wedding going on while we were there so we enjoyed a wonderful fireworks display courtesy of the bride and groom. We didn't have time to try the restaurant but the menu looked good.
