We spent four days at Traditions at the Glen for a family gathering, booking two suites and two queen rooms. The suite and the hotel common spaces were great for socializing. The atmosphere at Traditions is classy, relaxed and quiet. The grounds are beautiful. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. It is our favorite hotel in the Binghamton area. We will definitely return!

We stayed at Traditions at the Glen to go to a memorial service for a dear friend, and there were several others in the family staying there also. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel provided in the shower and had ample towels. The thermostat worked, which was helpful since it was so cold outside all weekend!

We arrived Friday night before the restaurant closed and though the menu seems limited, the food was delicious. There is a full service bar also. Breakfast is a buffet with scrambled eggs (I asked if they were real and was told they were liquid eggs(?)) and either bacon or sausage, and make your own waffles, cold cereals, bagels, fresh fruit, etc.

The staff was very friendly and the history of the property is evident all over the first floor in photos of what the property was like when IBM owned it.

I would stay here again, especially if the weather were warmer so we could play golf and enjoy the spa!

The location of the Hotel is beautiful and quiet. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the linens were very soft (not scratchy like at some hotels). Each of the staff we interacted with was very professional and friendly. Our breakfasts for the two mornings we were there was delicious. The Inn is just a tad been dated but is charming because of that. The only negatives we experienced is that our room was above the ballroom and there was a wedding reception going on and it was extremely loud; they were fully booked so we couldn't be moved. The music did end at 10:30 thankfully. We also had been some time on Sunday morning in the salt sanctuary and found out when we confirmed our appointment Saturday night that it wasn't open because a part was broken and they were waiting for its replacement. The staff member we spoke to was dismayed that no one had called us to let us know about this before we left home on Friday night. So we were very disappointed that we couldn't use the spa which is why we had stayed at the hotel in the 1st place. Alisdair (one of the staff) did see that we received a complimentary drink at the tavern for the noise on Friday night; which we greatly appreciated.

I stayed here for three nights while in town for business. I picked the property because I like staying at 'non-traditional/non-chain' properties when possible, and this popped up within the same price range as other local chains. The staff was pleasant, and the grounds are nicely manicured, but the hotel itself could use some updates. The fact that it's an older building leads to a need for a fairly significant update. Carpets appeared worn, and in my closet the sprinkler piping was basically run through an unfinished hole in the drywall. My iron did not work well, so had to get another one. One of the two lamps in my room did not work, so had to have it replaced. Staff acted quickly to remedy these issues, but I was surprised to have them in the first place. General room cleanliness was acceptable, but I noticed some leftover lint and a stray hair or two in the drawers of the dresser. It was mainly small, attention to detail issues. I would not rule out staying here again, but I'd have to carefully consider my options. I also noticed that the noise from the downstairs carried very well into my room, which was at the top of the stairs above the tavern area. Things quieted down after 10 or so, but I was concerned that this could be a problem in other scenarios. This property could be great with a bit of $$ placed toward upkeep. For now, I have to rate it as 'average', but only barely so.

We had our daughters baby shower last weekend. From Jeanie our event planner to the cooks in the kitchen every one was courteous, professional and very helpful. We had family and friends from out of town so we all spent the night. The hotel staff were just as welcoming and the rooms were spotless. This venue / hotel is gorgeous, full of great american history and resonably priced.

I am quite disturbed at the shady-ness of this hotel and its management. I booked a rewards point stay for NYE, and a few days later received an email from the manager that I would have to cancel the reservation as the hotel would be closing due to Covid. I then received a voice message from the assistant manager saying the manager asked her to reach out to tell me I had to cancel for the same reason. Feeling suspicious, I called the hotel to check if they had any available reservations and was told they were booked up for NYE. So, they were lying and just trying to get rid of me, the Diamond member who was only "paying" with my earned reward points? I called the parent company who confirmed they were open and who then told the manager he had to honor my reservation. I wouldn't really have had an issue if he had said "I'm sorry, we can't accept rewards for NYE and someone failed to black it out." That to me would have seemed like an honest business situation that I would have understood, but to be manipulated and LIED to? Bad, very bad. I saved the email and voice mail in case anyone is interested...

This is my 3rd visit to the spa at traditions. I went with a group of friends this past weekend. prior to covid anytime I asked for a robe for the salt room the staff said its "not necessary" to wear one on the salt room. I had to specifically ask to wear one and was given one begrudgingly. I thought going to the spa was about the
spa experience, to me its as if staffing doesn't want to do their job of laundering the robes. I visited this past weekend with some friends. They took extensive measures to take our temperature and give us proper guidelines due to "covid" I asked the staff for a cup of water and was refused "due to covid" Are you kidding me? Why bother staying open if you cannot honor a normal request for a cup of water for a pregnant customer. This business truly needs to reconsider how they are presenting themselves to the public. Perhaps visit some other spas and see how they are ran and how they treat their customers.

We booked this on a last minute deal and were pleasantly surprised! It’s an old mansion, so the rooms are smaller and it’s not a modern feel, but the place has plenty of charm, is very clean and overlooks a beautiful valley with sweeping views. The staff were all over the top friendly and helpful (Emily who ran the included breakfast was especially attentive). Overall, it was a great experience and we’d come back again!

We booked all rooms at Traditions over the past 2 days. We had 130 people in attendance, 2 cocktail hours, 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts and an evening banquet. Everyone was friendly and accommodating from check-in to food service . The food was amazing, well prepared, well presented and plenty of it! The servers were all very professional, personable, and accommodating. Our members and vendors were all totally impressed with the facility, the staff, and made many positive comments - no negatives. I have nothing but positive comments myself If you need a place to hold an event in the Triple Cities area the size of ours, look no further. We plan to book our event here every year! Went there for a meeting last night. I was charged $35. The rolls were the high point of the meal. Mixed salad was OK. Ample size size but somewhat tasteless. The meat was hot and well cooked but bland. The mixed vegetables were just ok. They didn’t serve desert. Coffee was undrinkable. I’ll recommend not going there again!

Thank you for your online review. I have reviewed your comments with our team. I understand that food taste is a personal preference. The event Host and other guests enjoyed their meals. When the details for the event were reviewed with the client we had asked if they would like a dessert offered but they opted to not have a dessert course. We look forward to making your next experience with us a positive one. Paul Daniels Food and Beverage Director

Other than the breakfast buffet, the dining options are limited to the 'pub' menu which is not very large, but they can accommodate most specific requests.
