Very welcoming, average accomodation, with some of the smallest beds I have ever seen! En Suite shower and toilet with hot water, but door didn't close properly. Not overly clean, but did for a night. Basic breakfast included, parking outside

I checked in here because my other choices were unavailable. The hotel has quite a good location on a street directly opposite the waterfront. There is no beach there however, just a breakwater facing the sea. The hotel is fairly modern, like almost everything in Dakhla, but it has no elevator. The staff are pleasant and helpful. There is a cafe/restaurant on the ground floor that serves breakfast and some simple food. The rooms are small and basic and have narrow terraces facing the sea -- too narrow to do much more than stand and take in the view. There is free wifi in the rooms, which worked very well. The beds are not very comfortable as the mattresses are quite hard. The bathroom is adequate and a small bar of soap and sachet of shampoo were provided. However my bathroom, and that of a traveling companion, had no towels at all. Overall the place has a run-down feel to it. It's OK if you just need a place to crash for the night, but it's certainly not a place you would stay in for the enjoyment of it.

Mirleft, Morocco161 contributions38 helpful votes
I arrived here after 30h travel by grand taxi, bus and petite taxi from Mirleft via Tiznit as deep in the low season as one cat get: In summer, during Ramadan. Judging by the keys behind the reception, there were not more than 2 rooms occupied besides mine. The sheets were clean, as was the bathroom, but the carpet has been ignored for a long time - I rolled it up for my stay. There was a slight background odor of mold coming from the general direction of the bath. Directly after arriving I was allowed a merciful 1h of sleep before some loud maintenance work began in the room directly above mine (but you could hear it even in the lobby). The work had stopped when I returned from a 1.5h walk but continued 6:30am the next day. This all might be OK for maybe 100 dirham, but not for the 250 they asked for. The views would be nicer if the balconies had enough space to actually sit on them. As the other review referred to the two restaurants nearby: They seem not to serve food at all during Ramadan (even after sunset, at 8:50pm on a Saturday the tourist was the only one who went hungry.). Stock up on essentials in the little stores in the area.

I would stay again if ever I were in Dakhla, providing I could get a big reduction on the listed price. They wanted 320 dirhams for a single occupant in a twin en-suite sea-view room. I got it down to a still expensive 200 without breakfast. Everything was clean, tidy and adequate in this well-maintained hotel. You can walk along the seafront to and from the town centre and bus offices - a twenty-minute stroll. A petit-taxi was about 5 dirhams. There are two cafe-restaurants and another cheaper hotel in the same block, and shops and more restaurants in the main boulevard a few blocks back from the seafront. For some reason there were two friendly Surete Nationale officers posted outside night and day - at least one felt safe there. Everyone is very friendly in Dakhla and the staff were helpful. The free wifi only works in the ground floor cafe, the reception area and the first floor bedrooms. The en-suite shower/toilet/bidet/wash faciliies were good with hot enough water and storage space. Room for improvement: .no hangers in wardrobes .no bedside tables .only one inconveniently placed power point .no aircon or heating .two very uncomfortable chairs
