I stayed at Orenda with my family twice this Summer - in June and again in early September. Both visits were fun, restorative and deeply relaxing. The owners seem to genuinely love nature, while also catering to the ease and enjoyment of their guests. The food is delicious, the fire is always going, and the atmosphere is relaxed, yet incredibly thoughtful (fluffy towels, lovely soaps, tons of board games, blankets and snacks available in addition to everything you need to explore the area). We hiked, boated, mountain biked and spent time just being in nature and with each other, relatively unplugged and increasingly tuned in. PS: You'll find berries growing along the path to the cabins - nice addition to breakfast. Also, the owner's dog, Toby, is a sweetheart. Can't wait to return.

This was the third time that my family spent 3 days at Orenda and it never disappoints. When we arrived we were welcomed by Emma who was lovely, and showed us a few of the amenities that Orenda had added since our visit 5 years ago. During our stay we enjoyed a spacious tent overlooking the grounds, and loved having our own little slice of heaven as we relaxed on the porch before meeting some new friends down at dinner that night. (Love the 6:30 dinner bell!) The food, the grounds, Dave, Emma, and the beautiful outdoor activities all make for a relaxing outdoor vacation. The best part is all you need when you arrive is your personal belongings, and perhaps a few good IPAs or bottles of wine .

An amazing spot in the woods next to a babbling brook that lulls you to sleep at night! Dave is the ultimate host going out of his way to accommodate ones wishes. While this is meant to quench ones camping thirst while enjoying amenities, this place has solid luxuries that spoil ones camping goals mainly the heated toilet seat - a welcome extra at 1am! I plan to return to this gem!

On our way out of the USA at the end of a lovely 3 week tour we decided we would like to try glamping in the Adirondack and found this site on line - the price was a bit off putting but we have to say the experience was worth it. Tents extremely comfortable, food very tasty using local ingredients, with first night wood fired pizzas acing it. Chef even made supplemental wraps for hungry hubby and a full American BBQ the following night. Great activities including hazardous hatchet throwing after dinner (booze definitely Involved). Nice size set up with maximum of 12 persons - fun to share it with a bachelorette party! In the area there is plenty to do and the camp was well set up with everything you need to hiking and canoeing and mountain biking, you don’t need to bring anything with you except jokes for the campfire. The staff (mostly family) were knowledgable on what to do in the area, we did some lovely walks to waterfalls and views, and loved the canoeing on nearby garnet lake where they had canoes stored for our use.

My husband and I have stayed at Camp Orenda 4 times over the past 6.5 years, and each time it is incredible. Dave & his team are the most hospitable of hosts, always catering to the specific needs of the guests. The food is probably the best in the Adirondacks! I believe most of the produce comes from the on-site garden - and the pulled pork night is always a favorite (though we have never had even an 'average' meal there). They have very a carefully curated list of activities and hikes to do in the area and further, all of which are always fun! They also have kayaks (at Garnet Lake), axe throwing, archery, mountain bikes, canoes, and hammocks on site and all available for guests for free. On top of that, sitting around the camp fire is probably one of our favorite things to do, chatting with other guests and eating s'mores or having a cocktail (it's BYOB) Lastly, the tents / cabins are perfect- super clean, very comfortable and nicely decorated. They are also even more spacious than you may think. Our favorite is Mill Creek. We look forward to visiting again!

This place is literally a gem in the adirondacks. My husband and I first visited in 2019, and returned in 2020. We could not wait to get back to the peace and serenity this place brings us. Beautiful land, nice comfy tent cabins, great food. Worth every penny! Family owned and run, top notch service and quality from David and his staff. Pack some clothes and hit the road, this place has everything you could possibly need here and all included in price of stay. Couples, if you are debating which cabin to choose, personally we would reccomend Hillsider. Millcreek is nice, but not close enough to the bathroom. Orenda is amazing and everyone should take the time to enjoy the beauty here.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it was amazing! Worth every penny! We had such a great time and will definitely be going back. The staff was so caring and made us feel at home. We have never experienced anything like this before... the hospitality was on point! I will be recommending this place to everyone I meet!

My girlfriend and I spent 4 memorable nights here. She does not like camping and I love it. Orenda was the perfect compromise for us and we plan to revisit next year. The price seemed a bit high to us before we experienced it, but in hindsight it’s a great deal for everything they offer. We over packed! You can throw some clothes and a medicine bag in the car and they have everything else covered. The most memorable part was the sincere hospitality that David and his crew offered. We felt so welcomed and nurtured there. Great, quiet, safe escape during Covid. Don’t take my word for it. Check it out for yourself. Oh, and the shower under the trees was special too.

Going to Camp Orenda was an awesome decision, especially during COVID-19. My fiance and I were looking for something remote and away from people. We were also looking for something that allowed us to get the BEST for our money. Camp Orenda was the best choice for this. We are new to doing any outdoor activities, such as hiking, because we are from the city. David was extremely helpful guiding us on where to do go, what to do when we got there, etc. He made everything so simple and easy! Next - the tents. These tents are great quality, cozy, and extremely comfortable. We stayed in Hillsider, which was very close to the bathroom and shower, Finally - the food! Just wow! David has truly mastered the art of incorporating healthy, delicious meals into the menu each day. The fact that breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included is absolutely amazing. No other place does this which makes it a complete game changer and ultimately why we chose this particular campsite. You truly get to enjoy yourself without worrying about making meals each day you're there. I think this place is perfect for couples, both young and old, looking for an intimate and unique experience.
