We spent a week at this lovely resort. It literally has everything. Our accommodations were okay—nothing great but very functional. Food was A+,, and tons to do. We enjoyed great hiking, basketball, pickle ball, bocce ball, row boating, horse shoes, shuffleboard, swimming, hot tub & a relaxation room complete with a massage chair. There was a climbing wall and other team building apparatus that some groups use. We worked out with certified personal trainers, a yoga teacher, and talked with a nutritionist. We attended a cooking class, too. Highest recommendation!
i did a conference out there...it was amazingly laid out, gorgeous scenery and we LOVED the boats on the water! Highly recommend a stay here. The food on site was very tasty and loved the main room for our meetings. The rooms were the basic minimum and I cannot complain. I took my baby with me and the weather was gorgeous.
Not a good experience for me... To start, you need a car to get here. I called the front desk weeks ahead and they said, "You may have to wait 3 hours for the shuttle." I got an Uber, but that was lucky. A lot of people pay $109 for an executive ride. There is not Uber or Lyft service out in this remote area. The closest store is 45 minutes away. If I knew that ahead of time, it would have been a lot easier. So, my review is not about the transportation really, but that the staff is flat. The trainers are bored, looking at their phones and barely interactive. The people staying here a long time discourage you from doing things. The food is ok. I have been to another similar place that had a fun, up-beat, motivated staff and good food, so it is out there. The resort is pretty, nice ponds and trails. The rooms are tired with broken furniture and leaking ceilings. They need a deep clean. The gym is good, but does not have high-end equipment. A week was too long for me. I could not imagine staying longer. A corporate retreat might be better because someone else is paying. The rooms in the photos are the "Villas," not the "Bunkhouse," which is the standard accommodation. The best person we saw all week was the nutritionist. She was happy and up-beat, but that may be because she has only been on the job a short time.…
Great place to spend some time with nature. And your healthy side. Be aware this place is secluded however close enough to small cities around. You need to rent a car. Staff is great and very accommodating.
Just had a conference here, very nice campus in secluded woods area with nice activities to do and near lake. Rooms were nice as well, shower head and water pressure not so much. Food was excellent, with good choices.
