This was the worst experience and dinner we have ever had. That is saying a lot as we have had many dinners out over the years. The food was terrible. The service was terrible although our waitress, who took care of the whole restaurant, was sweet and tried her best but all fell short. She decanted our wine but never came to pour it. What we wanted from the menu they hadn't finished making tonight so it wasn't available. The appetizers were just ok. We noticed the other tables all got bread. We finally asked and got some after our appetizers. Our dinners were awful. We ordered steaks- one med. rare and one medium. They came very rare and rare. I hate to send anything back and never do but these were inedible . We had to send them back but the further problem was that our poor waitress, who was taking care of the whole restaurant was busy. We sat and sat. Finally got it sent back and when it was returned to us, it was tough. Not tender. Supposed to be steak au poivre. No poivre was tasted. We were very nice to her and when she asked if we wanted her to take them off the bill, we said no. We paid for our dinner but are so disappointed. This is a beautiful place to go but the food and service was so poor that we will sadly not return.

Found this interesting historical Inn just off a side road in Jamesport. The place was intriguing with its past and present stories. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting -as were the staff - especially Kelly & Abigail who served with smiles and were eager to give tours of the mansion and grounds. The food was delicious by a gourmet chef - and the rooms were spacious and clean. Definitely recommend for a dinner or weekend brunch - but put in your reservation as this place attracts the weddings and special catering occasions!

my fiance and i got married at jedediah hawkins in this past saturday, 9/24/22. It was the most magical, special day of our lives all thank to Jedediah. Lia the owner is excellent work with- she is responsive and makes you feel at ease during wedding planning. Every single one of my guests RAVED that the food was the best food they have ever had at any wedding, and i completely agree. the grounds are the most gorgeous- we took photos in the barn, in front of the inn and gazebo. it was picturesq. If you have a smaller wedding- less than 125- i HIGHLY recommend having it here. it was the perfect rustic north fork vibe we wanted. thank you to everyone at jedediah for making our day the best ever.

We totally enjoyed our two day mid-week special in the Cider Room. Breakfast was included each morning and was absolutely delicious! Dinner was amazing! During our stay we visited the local area but looked forward to returning and relaxing at the Inn in the gazebo and later at night at the Speak Easy. What made our trip even more enjoyable was the exceptional staff - Manager Elias (very accommodating and a great sense of humor), Chef Colin, Eugenia and Chris.

This Inn and restaurant are an essential stop while visiting Long Island. Located in the picturesque North Fork wine area, this historic building has been tastefully renovated, offering modern amenities while retaining its’ historic charm. On our second visit in two years, we were again delighted with the beautiful accommodations. The staff members go out of their way to the ensure that every guest feels special and welcomed. They answer any question and will call ahead for reservations or readily provide any requested information. The included breakfast each morning is home baked and delicious, even offering a choice of entrees. Be sure to dine in the restaurant during your stay, one of the best culinary experiences in the North Fork area. Stroll the carefully maintained grounds after dinner and enjoy a cocktail in the restored speakeasy. There is even a beautiful wedding venue! What a unique and memorable Inn- don’t miss it!!

I cannot rave enough about this place. I've always loved Jedediah Hawkins Inn as a restaurant. It's perfectly located at the gateway of Long Island's Wine Country and so utterly romantic in its historical detail. Literally every time I step into those doors and see that fireplace and those cozy chairs, I feel the weight of the modern world drop off my shoulders. There's a sense of serenity here that is impossible to capture in mere words. While I thought a meal there was a treat, I was absolutely blown away when I stayed there in the Cider Room. In fact, I was SO blown away that I booked a stay for my boyfriend's parents as a gift for their 50th wedding anniversary not soon after! The service was above and beyond and the staff more than welcoming and accommodating. The amenities are also so thoughtful, including bikes for guest use if you want to wheel around to the vineyards! The rooms are all designer showcases, and I fell in love with the exclusive peek at the Belvedere Room they so kindly showed me, as I was curious about it after having read about it. This room is spectacular! And the details in each of them are just exquisite. Breakfast the next morning in the greenhouse was worth waking up for, too. Despite there being so few rooms, they do a gorgeous included breakfast made to order in what will feel like your own private solarium overlooking the grounds. For another step back in time, don't forget the speakeasy in the basement!

My girlfriend and I had dinner outdoors this weekend at Jedediah Hawkins Inn & Restaurant. Neither of us can remember when we last had a better meal. The ingredients were farm-fresh, the food perfectly prepared, the setting (a terrace next to a garden) tranquil and beautiful, and Donna, our server, took care of us with wonderful care and consideration. We mean to go back as soon as possible.

We stayed for 3 nights and wish we had a couple more. The room was adorable the service fantatsic and the breakfast was tondie for. The staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect with excellent tips on where to go and what to see and where to eat....and even providing a packed breakfast on check out day when we had to leave early. The inn is quaint with breathtaking gardens and it's perfecly located amongst the wineries.

My wife set up a 4th of July weekend getaway at Jedediah Hawkins Inn this past weekend. A first class staff and Inn. This is a must stay Inn. We had a great dinner our first night and fantastic breakfasts in the mornings. The room was beautifully done and warm and inviting. The back lawn area has a fire pit and plenty of Adirondack chairs to sit, relax with a bottle of wine. The staff are also what makes this place so terrific. Carine (spelling may be wrong) was very attentive and very nice as well. Our server at dinner, Donna was a pleasure. Any visitor is in good hands with the entire staff including Andreas and Colin. Everyone was accommodating and just on the ball completely. It was a pleasure staying here. We will be back! Bill and Debra
