The Rodeway in Ithaca is a true gem. Room was large and very clean. Check in was quick and staff was attentive to traveler needs. Breakfast had hot items and waffles, something that is hard to find currently. I must admit I had qualms about staying at a Rodeway but this property was excellent. We had 10 assorted stays on a road trip to the NE. The Rodeway Inns and Suites of Ithaca was one of the most enjoyable stays. Thank You for the experience.
Very nice. Clean and spacious room, we had the deluxe king. Hot breakfast was good, all the usual things. Very friendly staff. The photos of the outside do not do it justice. It's not fancy but the pictures may give you the wrong impression. It's safe, the doors are locked on the outside corridor before you get to your room.
This is my first time to the area and went by online reviews. Many said it was clean and that was most important thing to me. The ride here was beautiful, easy to find. Super friendly front desk / management. Karan helped us with all of our questions and went out of his way to accommodate us. Very clean & comfortable. Great location to see everything but without being stuck in the middle of it all. Breakfast was plenty selection to start your days. Would definitely come back.
My friend and I stayed here for a long weekend from Wed to sunday as a getaway trip from NYC. We decided to stay here because of the great reviews and were so thrilled we did because it was all around amazing! The hotel is in a great location about 10 min or less from downtown Ithaca. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed (TV, , soap/shampoo, drawers, hangers, comfortable beds, and clean bathroom!) Since we were there on a Wednesday, we had a little trouble getting Ubers in the area so we called the hotel to ask for advice while out at a brewery and the hotel manager and his brother actually came and drove us to dinner in town and then picked us up! That was so unbelievably thoughtful of them and showed true hospitality. The hot breakfast was great and they also had a water bottle fill station in the lobby which is a always a plus!! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay, we will be back and the hotel truly exceeded our expectations!…
First off, this is not a 5 star hotel, so don't expect a mint on 2,000 thread count pillows. However, this is well maintained, clean and a good value. This property consists of several buildings with a mix of direct-exit motel-style rooms and others that exit onto a hallway with rooms on one side. All rooms are very close to the parking lot. The lot got crowded during out stay but I could always find a spot close by, and even one of the 3 that have an outdoor plug that I used to charge our EV (albeit slowly). The charge makes up for the $5/day parking fee. Our room had a desk, decent mini-fridge, microwave, two queens and a pull-out sofa bed, a requirement when traveling with two teens. The sofa bed mattress is the type that give these beds a bad reputation, but the kids still felt it was better than sharing. The AC did a great job at quietly cooling the room, but there was musty smell in the room. Otherwise, everything was very clean, and well maintained. One important benefit to this property is the thickness of the walls: excellent. Our room faced Rt. 13, but we heard very little traffic over the AC. In two nights, I never heard a neighbor either, although I'm pretty sure the rooms were occupied. After the first night, I saw a couple with a baby leaving an adjacent room, but hadn't heard a peep. Either I had the best neighbors ever, or the walls are thick! There are several nice extras provided: The Wifi is insecure, but free, easy to join and provided a steady 5Mbps connection. The Continental breakfast is not very big, but has make-your-own waffles, some baked goods, yogurt and a couple cereals. Overalll, I was only disappointed by the smell in the room. I'll mention it when we check out but even with that, it was worth the cost considering that it was probably the cheapest place in Ithaca that met our needs.…
