Just home from an amazing time at Firelight. We had a girls weekend planned for here. The place was amazing. Tents were so spacious and the beds were super comfy. We loved the whole vibe. We hiked, napped in hammock, read by campfire, relaxed, made new friends, enjoyed cocktails and food. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again, maybe next time in the summer so we can swim at Buttermilk.

We are picky travelers and absolutely loved our stay. It's creative, charming, clean, and extremely comfortable. We are going back in October and plan to make it our regular spot during our son's four years at Cornell.

We had a wonderful time. Sitting around the campfire and meeting interesting people from all different walks of life made the experience even more amazing. The staff was great and the facilities are very well maintained. It is absolutely worth it.

Soo much to compliment, Loved the deco inside the safari tent, they have electrical tent options. The beds are very comfy & the covers/blankets kept us toasty when temps hit 39 degrees at night. The grounds were uniquely lit at night in the common area. The bathrooms are a minutes walk from any tent, showers are private rooms with locks & its clean. shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryers also provided. Fresh towels are already in the tent. Breakfast is plentiful & delish. There's plenty of Fire pits & they light them or give you supply's to light it also, which we did. They gave us 4 wooden coins for free s’mores. We all noticed 1 major con, you definitely need to plant alot more trees, evergreens along the driving path & block out the parking lot, bushes are cool, but dosnt have the same vibe, too much gravel, switch it up with wood chips, were in the woods & we’re glamping at a nice cost,. Also a very short hike to Buttermilk falls.

Thank you so much for staying with us and we're so glad you had a wonderful time! And thanks also for the landscaping recommendations - unfortunately the emerald ash borer beetle has decimated nearly all ash trees in upstate New York over the past few years, including many we had on our property. On the bright side though, this has created an opportunity for us to work to establish native species on the property - and we invest every year in new plantings to create a thriving ecosystem here.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Ithaca. I only found it when all nearby hotels were booked and was so pleasantly surprised that today I made a second visit. The place is really a good example of glamping. With nice king comfortable beds and accessories in secluded large tents. It does get chilly at night but they give you many thick blankets to make it pleasant. The bathrooms are a short hike from the tents. They are super clean and have plenty of hot water. Wifi is available in the main dining/reception/bar (full bar!) and it reaches most tents. Breakfast is provided in the same space and it consists of cold items. Enough to give you energy for the day. There are fire pits and s’mores kits to enjoy the evening after a 2hr hike to Buttermilk Falls. Definitely recommended but don’t tell many people as the number of tents is limited and they book fast

Pretty unique and comfortable stay. It was a cold night but the blankets provided are so warm. Waking up the the birds was absolutely mind blowing. The staff is amazing. Tents were super cool and private. I would have some prepackaged sandwiches on days when the kitchen is closed. That is my only suggestion. So thankful for the stay. If you like experiences this is your spot.

The tent was spacious, with a fantastic deck in the back overlooking the woods! Sitting in our rocking chairs we enjoyed the chirping of the birds and the sun was shining during our Fall vacation tour! The evening was full of firelight, confirming the name Firelight Camps. The night was blazingly alive with various fire pits burning bright! Very cosy to sit at one and roast marsh-mellows! The team at Firelight was more than engaged to make us feel welcomed! Very friendly and helped make our stay memorable! I definitely will return!

What a fun stay! Even though it was wet and drippy when we arrived, we still had such an enjoyable time! The staff are very kind and helpful, everything is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed evening s'mores and hot toddies by the firepit at night and coffee and yummy continental breakfast in the morning. Only wished we could have stayed more than one night, but it was sold out for the weekend. Highly recommend! And great location by Buttermilk Falls State Park - gorgeous hike!
