While living in Ithaca, I often drove past the Grayhaven on my way to work and elsewhere. It always seemed like a good place to stay and I promised myself to book there sometime if I had an excuse and the price was reasonable. Fast forward about a year later, we're not living in Ithaca anymore, and coming back to... More

Thanks for the nice review. December thru March is our off season, and we do have much lower rates then. Hope you get a chance to come again during the green season! More

Motel living, if you're not used to it, can be weird. Many, if not most, are in a continuous state of do it yourself repair, are owned by a mom and pop couple and not a franchise, and offer a very affordable price. The Gray Haven is no exception. Situated on the outskirts of Ithaca, this motel offers different options... More

We added business class wifi, when tested, it supplied a powerful connection to all rooms. We now have many portals to satisfy even tech savy guests. Thanks for the review. More

This motel is very nice, comfortable and clean. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage. It was so well kept. Close to the gorges, wineries, and all the attractions Ithica has to offer. I would recommend this place for families or couples.

Listen, this lodging has both very LARGE motel rooms AND quaint cottages. The motel is older, and does in some respect shows it age (it needs a fresh coat of paint in my opinion) however for a reasonable out of the way place - away from the clatter of Ithaca College and Cornell University this really is a good moderately... My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It's a nice little motel. We enjoyed our stay. It was very close to both parks featuring waterfalls as well as a short drive into town. We did not notice the road noise as others had stated. There was also a market stand right up the road.

We spent 3 nights at Grayhaven motel (Aug 2-5 2015). The location, south of Ithaca, is convenient to both Buttermilk Falls and Treman State Parks and by taking 13A cutoff, Taughannock Falls can be reached avoiding most of Ithaca proper. Our room was in the "Treman Lodge" which is back from Rt 13, but traffic can still be heard, most... More

Wifi has been upgraded to business class provided by Time Warner Cable. We added two powerful antennae. No one has reported having spotty wifi since the upgrade in the fall of 2015. Thank you for your review, glad that you were a satisfied guest. More

We went for one night to this motel. Although the motel looks really attractive from the outside, the experience was horrible! The owner seems to hate kids and doesn't hide it!! Very unpleasant individual. The rooms were smelly and clearly overpriced for the quality one receives. A place to avoid!

We have a kids play area with swings and an area for playing outdoor games such as wiffle ball, and frisbee. Some accommodations have kitchens adjacent. Families can have a wonderful time both at Grayhaven and in the Ithaca surrounding area. We also have a fenced area for your family's dog to get a little exercise and relieve itself. People... More

I grew up in the area and have driven by the Grayhaven and really never gave it a second glance. This little place is a nice little gem in the sea of corporate owned hotel/motel chains. This is a second genertion family owned motel. The decor is very homey and comfortable. We had arrived early in town for a long... More

The walls are paper thin. I could hear every single word the couple next door said. and they weren't yelling/being loud. just normal talking/TV (they were watching a documentary about the mafia... until 3 am.). I could also hear cars driving by, people outside, etc. the internet is slow and sporadic at best. There was also a slight smell... dog... More

Was traveling on a budget for a wedding in town and all other hotels were booked. Those who weren't were way too expensive so decided to book this place. The apartment was spacious and clean but the housekeeping probably forgot to clean it up one of the days during our stay because the bed was not even made. Besides that,... More
