The scheduling and check in processes were so easy! The Inn is beautiful and very conveniently located to parks, restaurants, and shopping. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were wonderful.
The building is very nice and elegant. Due to COVID, some restrictions are still in place in 2022. There is very little interaction with staff and other guests. The owners are local Ithaca people, but they were not present during our four nights. "Lily" our breakfast server was very nice and personable. Breakfast was very nice and filling. The bathroom in our room on the third floor was fine - the water pressure was good and hot. Wi-Fi was very fast, over 200 mbps. No problems with A/C even with two days of 90-degree weather. Small TV, 26" I think. The after-hours coffee maker is a Nescafe machine. If you're going to provide a K-cup machine, just do regular coffee instead of Nescafe, which I thought was OK but my wife didn't care for it. In the morning, regular drip coffee is provided. During our stay the inn was mostly full, so at night one or two guests had to park in the street (which is free at night, but still,,,). I consider the price midrange for a B&B of this quality and location, btut it's not cheap.…
Stayed here with my husband and two pups for a long weekend as a little birthday getaway from DC. We stayed in the carriage house as it was dog-friendly and it was awesome—it’s huge, and the bathroom has a two person jacuzzi. The bed was at least a king size, maybe bigger, and was very comfortable even with a current neck/shoulder injury. The breakfast is by far the best I’ve ever had at a hotel/inn, they will bring it right to your room if you ask. They also make cute desserts for guests daily! The innkeeper also went out of her way to make sure my husband could enjoy the food & treats despite his food allergies. I also had mentioned that it would be my birthday at some point when booking and was surprised to see that there were decorations and balloons set up for our arrival! Very sweet touch. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway or special occasion.…
We spent 2 nights in the Turret Room on the 3rd floor. It was nicely furnished, comfortable, and spacious with a seating area, desk and a small bathroom with shower. Covid-style restrictions were in place so on arrival, we let ourselves in and picked up our room key in the hallway. Housekeeping needed to be requested. The first time we met any staff was at breakfast which consisted of fruit, a hot egg dish and a hot sweet dish. Portions were very generous and the food freshly prepared and tasty. Sweet treats were provided to our room and tea and coffee were available all day. The Inn is within walking distance of waterfalls and several good restaurants and bars. It is also a short drive to State Parks and Cornell University. Overall, we enjoyed a very pleasant stay but lacking the personal touches of similar inns.…
Landscaping beautiful, breakfast very good. , & good location. that’s about it. Innkeeper not on site & difficult to reach. Very hot in July & apt had jury rigged unit held together by duct tape. Apartment had TV that was not connected , no local newspapers. First Inn we’ve stayed in without “welcome package.” We checked out early & went elsewhere.
Fantastic stay! The room was beautiful, cozy, and clean. Comfortable bed and tasty breakfast. We stayed in the Dane's room and thoroughly enjoyed the warm jacuzzi. Great location! The desserts were such a special treat. Inn Keeper Amy was fast to reply to our messages and recommended great places to eat close by. Lily and Casey were friendly and provided a tasty breakfast in the morning. 10/10. Would recommend to any and all. Thank you Amy for a great stay!
What a wonderful stay at the fabulous, clean, and comfortable William Henry Miller Inn! We had a great night’s sleep in the Turret. The location can’t be beat. We easily took a waterfall-filled hike before an amazing breakfast. From the desserts waiting for us in our room to the coffee and tea station to the service, there is attention to detail that exceeded our expectations.
The WHM is a beautiful and well-cared-for old house. Full of detail, richly furnished with antiques, it is quiet and romantic. It is also an exceedingly well organized and thoughtful environment: a perfect system of no-contact check-in, desserts delivered to your door every afternoon, coffee service downstairs, and really good breakfasts every morning. We stayed in the third-floor turret room, so there was a lot of walking up and down the stairs — but we had good water pressure, and a very quiet and comfortable room. Recommended! We will return.
We loved our stay! The Inn is very centrally located. The breakfasts were delicious and there was water, tea and other snacks available. The inn is charming. We were in room 1 which had a large bathroom and well appointed bedroom.
We booked a room w jacuzzi (I believe the most expensive room in the house), then we tried to use a jacuzzi, it was not functioning. At least we wanted to have a hot shower, NO HOT WATER !!! Also there was no one to help us. We decided to get out of bath and put bath robe , freezing and waiting for help … this is not what we expected … total disappointment.
