One of the worst places I've ever stayed. Owners were out when I arrived and I had to wait for them for over an hour. In the meanwhile, four very angry guests arrived, telling me about how they had a day out adventuring, had no towels to shower, and couldn't get a hold of the owners either to get any. They wound up cancelling their second night there. When the owner arrived, I found they decided not to open the bar/restaurant that night, which was something I had looked forward to as I didn't want to drive any more. Nobody was there except for one or two people who I believe lived there. The room was filthy and depressing, the sort of place that makes you wonder about the life choices you've made to have wound up there even if you're just in town on business like I was. Parts of the shower were broken and I had no towels either. I had no idea where the owners were or how to get a hold of them but after taking a guess and knocking on a random door, I found them and got one. I didn't write this review for over a year because I don't like to knock businesses, especially small ones, but for what I got here I think $30 would be overpriced. It's actually been a story I've told many people about. I travel a lot and have had less than stellar experiences before, but this one kind of takes the cake. Don't stay here. That's as simple as I can put it. I thought the good reviews meant it would be a good experience and honestly I don't know where they came from but that certainly wasn't the way it was for me.…
We were looking for a family friendly place to hang our hat while skiing. This place is quiet, clean and gets the job done. The rates were very attractive. We had a room with bunk beds for the kids. The attached restaurant is clean and food is not gourmet but good, out fast and cooked as we liked it.
Let me start by saying I am an experienced traveller and only leave reviews when things are super or awful. This place was the worst ever, I've stayed at $60/night hotels/motels that were better! Owners are very kind and seem great, no issue there. My husband and I booked a 2 night stay with our dog but had a famil emergency after being there 3 hours and had to return home, Rose did refund me the second night. I was aware check in is 4 but arrived early at 2 and it was a ghost town and no answer when I called. Rose arrived at 3:55 to let us in. Initially room looked ok when she asked but it was not. Our room was nothing like 4 rooms showed on trip advisor. Only 2/4 light bulbs worked so very dark. TV remote didn't work, I can deal with these things but filth I cannot! Floor with so many bugs, floor with cracks and very uneven with weird slat type holes. Corner of room with cracked paint and spiderwebs. Unworking and dirty mini fridge. Bathroom with purple towels (never seen that, always white as I assume bleach is used). Toilet dirty and leaking with a black substance, mold? Box springs of bed on far side with huge Brown stain. Outside as bad as inside, very dirty with bugs and debris, very limited and dirty chairs. A random table and pop up tent flying around, 2 abandoned vehicles. But restaurant looked great, clearly that is where the money goes!! I did not expect deluxe accommodations but seriously this was was filthy!!! Was going to sleep in my car. I would be ashamed to welcome customers to this inn, especially after seeing the owners very expensive sports cars. It was a blessing in disguise we had to leave.…
Great place to stay.Convient and theres a restaurant downstairs and it has great food and great prices.and rose and pete are so friendly and its a great area and close to hunter mountain.Close to the stores
Awesome place when your skiing at Hunter. Bar on premise and great wings! The room was nice and warm and beds were comfortable. The owner was very hospitable and gave me a great recommendation for breakfast which was Karen's Country Kitchen.
