We really enjoyed our stay, made good use of the common area for playing games and relaxing, enjoyed a tequila tasting, and breakfast was outstanding. Room was clean and quiet. Some staff was very friendly, others not as much - but ok. Would plan to return for sure.

The common room looked lovely, but always had dogs in it so we didn’t use it. (Why do people think it’s ok to wear a bathrobe and walk their dogs in the only common room of the lodge?). The room (number 16, king, with balcony overlooking the pool) was smallish, no drawers, bed pretty soft. Ok, but the bathroom needed updating: quite small, grungy grout in shower and slow shower drain, outdated sink fixture. Most but not all staff was helpful and cheerful, nice restaurant/bar and we appreciated its convenience. We were mostly out all day, did not use the pool, do yoga or attend the bonfires. If I were looking for a lounging lodge where you can spend time in your room or the common areas, I would look elsewhere.

I visited this beautiful resort for a day along with my girlfriend and my little pup. The property, room and amenities were all very well maintained and perfectly suited for a mountain outdoor setting. Unfortunately upon arriving our very first interaction drove what untimely led to be a lackluster experience. The front desk staff hardly acknowledged us when we arrived and waited until we asked where we had to check in. The response we received was, here! in a condescending tone, followed by an instruction to enjoy the property without any information where anything was. For that time we were in a state of what to do next and felt like we were not welcome. Finally because I went to go look around myself and came back I was told that I didn’t respond to the text confirmation I received when I made the booking the day before in a way that seemed very rude. I mention I received the text while driving and that is why I didn’t respond. Throughout the time there not once did the front desk staff ever say hello or even produce a smile. First impressions can make or break a good service experience , unfortunately in this instance it was the former for us. It is such a shame especially when all the right ingredients are there to make it a great one.

My fiance and I went for one weekday night to celebrate our new engagement and we had the most wonderful time! The food at breakfast was fantastic, the pool was in a lovely spot, and we enjoyed sitting out by the fire at night. Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Room was super comfortable. We read reviews that the mountain facing rooms with balconies were much nicer, so we stayed in one of those and really enjoyed drinking our coffee on the sunny balcony in the morning, overlooking the mountains. Hope we can come back soon!

We spent two nights at Scribner's & had a great experience! Our room was very spacious and had great views of the mountains. The property was great -- from the pool to the corn hole game to the living room area. However the best part was the food -- we loved our meal at Prospect .... best meal we had on our entire trip. Oh and I can't forget the service -- was great from communication to delivery to the staff at the restaurant. Must stay!
