We had a lovely mid-week getaway at Scribner's and really enjoyed the experience. I definitely recommend the mountain view rooms with terraces. Lovely to have your morning coffee out there looking at the view. We were able to enjoy the outdoor fireplace as well and make s'mores - you get a little kit in your room - which is a very nice touch. There's another outdoor fireplace up by the Prospect restaurant and we enjoyed drinks from the bar out by the fireplace a couple of times. A great spot for some downtime - no skiing required (but it is close to the mountain if that's your thing). Good drip coffee is available and free in the lobby all day which is very handy. And they have flat and sparkling water on tap with bottles to take back to your room - a small thing, but a feature I love in a hotel. Masks are required in all the common areas and their COVID precautions are good which we appreciated. The staff contacts you by text at the beginning of your stay to establish communication and are very responsive and helpful via text or at the front desk providing great dining and other tips. The restaurant is open for indoor dining which we aren't yet comfortable to do. But we did order for room service once for breakfast and once for dinner and the meals were excellent. It's worth noting that this is a refurbished property - so the walls are probably thinner than other hotels of this caliber. We didn't have any problem with it - but it's a dog-friendly property so when your neighbor's dog is barking, you definitely know about it. All in all, highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and took our dog. The lodge is beautiful and very cozy. The staff was very friendly and followed covid protocols. They also had fun free activities to do during our stay- axe throwing, ice skating, and alcohol tastings. The lodge is very dog friendly which we loved as well! Great location to many hikes as well. The restaurant is good too! Highly recommend this place if staying in the Catskills!

Based on a friend's Covid precaution adherence recommendation, we were able to secure only one night at this delightful hotel. From the moment you walk into the tastefully decorated lobby and are greeted by their exceptional staff, you know you'll have a good stay. And so it was. The decoration is tops everywhere, especially the spacious library which was sooo hard to leave behind. The room is also spacious, the bathroom is not. It doesn't have a chest of drawers, which is not a problem for one night but it would be nice to have for a longer stay. We needed ice for Rx and were asked, "Would you prefer a refrigerator?" and the cutest desktop cube was delivered within 5 minutes. Covid rule adherence was indeed tops by both staff and guests. Prospect restaurant will be reviewed separately. I look forward to returning.

Got there early, was told will call me when ready called after the regular check in, now it’s closed on Monday and Tuesday so what wasn’t ready? Get in, room is ok, but nothing is open The bar opens and everything is done with a q card very annoying. Drinks were ok Oh and the pool closed the day before, was not told that when I booked. Not a single thing to do, want a sauna you have to make a reservation. Dinner was was overpriced and barely called food. And it was cold inside because the doors were open. Back to room to relax, hardly ! It has paper thin walls a good portion of the night I could hear people playing pool and talking and dogs barking. Breakfast was no better Left by 9 am What a bust! Staying at a motel 6 is a better choice! I will never return.
