While not inexpensive this gorgeous and magical house was my favorite place to stay in Hudson. The free cocktail hour was the best part and a wonderful touch! Great group of people stay and work at the house and looking forward to staying again.

My fiancé & I stayed with our families for our wedding. We held a family dinner, a small cocktail reception and things could not have been better. Tiger House is from another era and time and simply exquisite and their staff so lovely. We have amazing memories to cherish now.

We recently spent five delightful nights at Tiger House. The building is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous wood paneling and a lovely dining room looking out to the garden. We stayed in the Cocoa Room which was extremely spacious, well-appointed, comfortable and nicely air conditioned. Breakfast during the week is continental and includes good yogurt, granola, fruit, toast and (sometimes) scrambled eggs upon request. We would certainly return to Tiger House on a future visit to the Hudson River Valley again.

This is a unique property, and in many ways I am glad we stayed there. It was a trip back in time, a time of public elegance. Unfortunately that also means a long elegant wood staircase for heavy bags to be negotiated. When we arrived, the on duty manager offered to bring our heavy bag upstairs. When we left I had to negotiate the long stairs with a 50lb bag myself. It means the steam radiator in the bathroom is no longer in use and on cold days the bathroom is less than comfortable as it is completely without a soutce of heat. The days of our stay were cold and rainy for mid-May. The breakfast service is fine if you want gluten free bread as your only starch. There will not be potatoes, or pancakes, or waffles, nor was there a choice of juices. It was only Orange when we stayed. The artisan yogart, granola, cheeses and jams were interesting, but this will clearly not work for everyone. As I am not gluten intolerant I find gluten-free bread far less than satisgying. There was no staff present on the property in the evening, and so if you have a problem you have to make a phone call to the night manager. Two parties had a problem during our stay. I gather no fixes came until the morning and one party may have simply left later that evening as I saw keys to a room laying on the sign-in table at 10pm that night. Morning Staff told me the saw the keys when they came in. There is no question that the building is a jewel. The proprietors however have a bery narrow view of who will be their perfect guest.

Hi Mike, I'm sorry you had these issues. To clarify, the keys were left for guests who requested an extra set - nothing more nefarious than that. We also offer a more full breakfast menu on weekends. Thank you for your feedback.

My husband and I stayed here midweek in April. We got a very reasonably priced room. The interior and exterior were beautifully maintained. The architectural details were very well preserved and unique to the time period. Ask a worker to give you some history of the place ...it’s very interesting! Our room was very large and well appointed. The two people working (one who greeted us when we arrived and one at breakfast) were very friendly and attentive. The gentleman wrote down suggestions for many things to do in town. He included quite a variety with hours and location and such. It was very helpful! Breakfast was very lovely. It was continental style with the addition of freshly cooked eggs. The location is great. Just a few blocks walk from everything you’d like to visit. I would highly recommend a stay.
