A wonderful, wonderful weekend in Hudson, in one of the most welcoming and comfortable b+bs I have ever experienced. Carolyn, the owner, could not have been more helpful or accommodating, and her house was lovely. Really comfortable bed; lovely, clean, pretty, light-filled room; an absolutely epic shower; delicious breakfasts (inc. gluten free), and all the recommendations one could ask for of places to eat, and what to see and do. Also, Fred the dog and Spike the cat - definite bonuses!

We booked on booking.com many months in advance and the policy on booking.com for this property clearly stated children all ages welcome. At 6pm Carolyn calls us so we texted back saying we couldn’t speak as the baby is asleep in the car but that we would be there by 7pm. She proceeded to tell us no babies are allowed. We called her and said that on our reservation it says we can and we are already in the car driving with a 5 month old as we are attending a wedding in Hudson. She proceeded to ask if I could read because the children policy is stated in her website, which I hadn’t checked as booked it through HER booking.com listing. She immediately cancelled the booking, made no suggestion or offered any alternatives and left us stranded on the side of the road looking for another place to stay. By the time we found something it was dark and 2h past my daughter’s bedtime. This woman has no heart. Oh and later we were informed that she also KICKED OUT my VERY PREGNANT friend who was staying in one of the other rooms at 10pm - she had no car or anywhere to go and it was 8degrees Celsius out. Stay clear from this place. #thecatladyhateschildren

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and time with Carolyn, who runs Hudson B&B - great and friendly service, intimate feel, lovely cats & dogs around, and really spacious rooms. Really recommend and she also gave us useful information about the town, including recent history and dining recommendations.

My husband and I recently stayed one night at the Hudson B&B. Carolyn, the owner, knows how to run a B&B! Before we even arrived, Carolyn contacted us to ask when we might arrive, and coordinated the location of the key should she be out. She asked if we made dinner reservations and confirmed we would have our 6 bed pillows as requested. How nice! Fortunately Carolyn was present when we arrived. We had a nice chat and met Fred the dog, Fred the cat, and Ethel the cat. Such sweet pets! And we very much enjoyed the cookies! Our queen room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Although very safe, the rooms don't have locks which freaked out my husband a bit. Given there are only 3 rooms, and Carolyn is on site, there wasn't much to worry about. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. We had omelettes made to order, and the coffee was excellent! We highly recommend the Hudson B&B, and hope to return for another stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Carolyn’s beautiful home. We arrived as guests and left feeling like family. Carolyn was so gracious, and she gave us spot on recommendations for activities, dining, and routes. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the shower was one of the best we have encountered in a B&B. The breakfasts were outstanding. They were so plentiful that we skipped lunch both days of our stay. One of the highlights of our trip was her precious dog, Fred. He is adorable. Carolyn, thank you for your gracious hospitality and we look forward to returning.

I can't say enough good things about Carolyn as a host and our stay at Hudson B & B. From the minute we arrived, we felt comfortable and welcome. We stayed in the Jenkins Room - a spacious and elegant room with a queen bed, multiple armchairs and couches, and a beautiful en suite bathroom. Carolyn makes a delicious breakfast every morning! And trust her restaurant recommendations - she sent us to a delicious cocktail bar that did not disappoint. We can't wait to return!

We came to Hudson for a relaxing getaway and were wonderfully welcomed by Carolyn and her beautiful B&B. The room was great (loved having a bathroom en-suite!), the location was awesome and the breakfasts were delicious! Carolyn is incredibly welcoming and had great recommendations on things to do in town. Feeling very grateful for our time here and would love to come back.
