Detailed Reviews
Carolyn has created the perfect getaway! Conveniently located a block away from the shops and restaurants on (the main shopping and dining thoroughfare) Warren Street, but completely quiet. Her house is sun-drenched, with a beautiful, cheery decor. In addition to being a warm hostess, Carolyn is also an excellent chef, providing not only excellent home-made muffins and croissants with fresh fruit but also omelettes to order. The van Buren suite, where we stayed, has every amenity and comfort imaginable.

My wife and I stayed at Carolyn's Hudson B n B for 3 nights and I definitely would stay here again. It is located on a very quiet street just a short walk from restaurants, boutiques, and neighborhood markets. The home is immaculately clean, the beds are very comfortable, the breakfasts are individually prepared (omelets, French toast, fresh fruit, oatmeal, local jam) and Carolyn is a superlative hostess. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. Terry A

We booked on booking.com many months in advance and the policy on booking.com for this property clearly stated children all ages welcome. At 6pm Carolyn calls us so we texted back saying we couldn’t speak as the baby is asleep in the car but that we would be there by 7pm. She proceeded to tell us no babies are allowed. We called her and said that on our reservation it says we can and we are already in the car driving with a 5 month old as we are attending a wedding in Hudson. She proceeded to ask if I could read because the children policy is stated in her website, which I hadn’t checked as booked it through HER booking.com listing. She immediately cancelled the booking, made no suggestion or offered any alternatives and left us stranded on the side of the road looking for another place to stay. By the time we found something it was dark and 2h past my daughter’s bedtime. This woman has no heart. Oh and later we were informed that she also KICKED OUT my VERY PREGNANT friend who was staying in one of the other rooms at 10pm - she had no car or anywhere to go and it was 8degrees Celsius out. Stay clear from this place. #thecatladyhateschildren

A wonderful place to stay in delightful Hudson made extra special by wonderful host Carolyn and her schnauzer Fred. Super comfy bed in the spacious Van Buren Suite. Delicious homemade breakfast was a great start to each day we were there. Highly recommend staying at Hudson B and B.

Coming up to 136 Union and parking, we had high hopes for our stay. It is a stately building in immaculate condition. We entered and were welcomed by Carolyn who was both gracious and cheerful. As she took us on a tour of the building every room exuded the elegance and refinement of her taste.
We stayed in the larger of the three rooms which was an immense two room suite each with it's own sofa and filled with fine and interesting furnishings. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we'd ever slept on.
Breakfast was home cooked and delicious, served beautifuly on an ecletic presentation of fine china and linens, showcasing, once again, her love of design.
Needless to say, we were immensly happy, and comfortable in our stay.
Thank you Carolyn for being such a wonderful host.

My husband and I recently stayed one night at the Hudson B&B. Carolyn, the owner, knows how to run a B&B! Before we even arrived, Carolyn contacted us to ask when we might arrive, and coordinated the location of the key should she be out. She asked if we made dinner reservations and confirmed we would have our 6 bed pillows as requested. How nice!
Fortunately Carolyn was present when we arrived. We had a nice chat and met Fred the dog, Fred the cat, and Ethel the cat. Such sweet pets! And we very much enjoyed the cookies!
Our queen room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Although very safe, the rooms don't have locks which freaked out my husband a bit. Given there are only 3 rooms, and Carolyn is on site, there wasn't much to worry about.
The breakfast was hearty and delicious. We had omelettes made to order, and the coffee was excellent!
We highly recommend the Hudson B&B, and hope to return for another stay.

I can't say enough good things about Carolyn as a host and our stay at Hudson B & B. From the minute we arrived, we felt comfortable and welcome. We stayed in the Jenkins Room - a spacious and elegant room with a queen bed, multiple armchairs and couches, and a beautiful en suite bathroom. Carolyn makes a delicious breakfast every morning! And trust her restaurant recommendations - she sent us to a delicious cocktail bar that did not disappoint. We can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay in Carolyn’s beautiful home. We arrived as guests and left feeling like family. Carolyn was so gracious, and she gave us spot on recommendations for activities, dining, and routes. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the shower was one of the best we have encountered in a B&B. The breakfasts were outstanding. They were so plentiful that we skipped lunch both days of our stay. One of the highlights of our trip was her precious dog, Fred. He is adorable. Carolyn, thank you for your gracious hospitality and we look forward to returning.
