Immaculate and charming. We had a wonderful stay. Close enough to walk to shops and restaurants and we had a lovely suite. Very comfortable. There is a nice restaurant on property as well. Well done preservation of the building yet very modern.

The Wick is a fabulous hotel and I have to scratch my head at the negative reviews. At check-in, Rosie was wonderful, she was very helpful. Our king room was large with lots of light. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. The walls are a little thin but you don’t hear every little thing. Yes, the views aren’t great, but who cares? The hotel sits in an industrial part of town, it is what it is. A local brewery is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and so is Warren Street. The walk to Warren Street is short and seemed perfectly safe to us. We live about 40 minutes away and would definitely return to this hotel. The Wick hotel was a wonderful choice for a little get away, we were not disappointed.

I was looking for a boutique feeling hotel when planning my trip to Hudson. The Wick popped up in TA. When I clicked on the link I was shocked to see it was a Marriott property. I'm a lifelong Marriott member (over 2M pts). I stayed 2 nights at The Wick and it didn't feel like a chain hotel. It's a renovated old Candle making factory. The rooms were spacious with high ceilings. The lounge area was set up so we could socially distance, and it's. enclosed in glass so it was bright and airy. The staff was pleasant and helpful and makes excellent cocktails and pours heavy glasses of wine.

This was our first trip to a hotel since the pandemic started. Read about how cute this boutique hotel was. Took family for an one-night stay. Wife called 2 days ahead to check on upgrade possibility (since I am a Lifetime Titanium with Marriott Bonvoy). The lady on the phone told my wife she couldn't upgrade us...but didn't even ask for our names. No big deal, since it is supposed to be based on availability. Upon arrival we asked was told the hotel was full (makes sense). Gave us a room in the lower level. My wife asked for a higher floor but was told nothing else was available. Other than the Chandelier and desk in the room, the room could be mistaken for a normal Springhill/Residence Inn. Nothing too special. The tub wasn't exactly clean since we found hair in it. Shower curtain also needed changing. The lobby and bar area was somewhat charming. No one stood out as being gracious or courteous except for Shaun, the stand-in GM who came from another property for a few days. He was apologetic and nice. Not exactly what I expected for my/our first experience at a Tribute Hotel, and definitely not worth the price/points.
