Bartender does not know the difference between Canadian Club and J&B Scotch Whiskey. There is a big difference! He cannot read the English on the bottle. Screwed up my credit on the room and would not let me charge to the room. Hotel is not busy and now I know why. Avoid at all cost.

The rooms here a large and comfortable, bigger than other Mexican Holiday Inn's I have been in. Room service was good and I like the car hanging in the lobby. Just one complaint. As an American chain that attracts many foreign guests, maybe they should have more than 1 or 2 channels in English on the TV? All the Mexican HI's have this problem. I don't like dubbed movies!

In general it was a very good stay. I’m writing this review to mention something that made us feel uncomfortable. This hotel has no dress code for the restaurant and people was having breakfast in their PJ’s. The manager David was very apologetic and said that Holiday Inn “wants people to feel like home”. I don’t feel like home with strangers in PJ’s and bad smell eating next to me... Any public place has a dress code so would be appropriate to set a dress code for the restaurant. In other hand, I would like to emphasize that Mr. David Alvarado was extremely attentive and efficient as well as his team.

The hotel is well located. Right off the highway next to Queretaro's largest mall near the Jurica & Juriquilla area. Its sparkling new and rooms are quite big and comfortable, parking is free, ample and wifi rocks. On the negative (very negative) side is service at front desk. Staff is cocky, arrogant, obnoxious, and honestly insulting. Treated us like criminals because of simple miscommunication. Her name, Alejandra Aguilar (or so she told us, she was at front desk on Sunday 23rd at 7:45pm in case you want to review). We were treated like criminals because we were told at checkin to settle the account at checkout, we stayed for two nights and had already paid the first one online. While returning to our room for the second night, our access was simply denied and we were forced to pay for the room immediately (last thing you want, when you arrive late with a tired family is to be treated this way and to have them all wait while you sort the problem which makes you look as if you weren't "good enough, stupid or poor"), we obviously paid without a problem, however Alejandra was terribly rude, kept ignoring & mocking us with a sarcastic look in her face, right in front of my 5yr old girl & wife.. Pretty insulting, If it were up to me I would fire her for basically uninviting loyal customers to ever come back, despite the hotel being pretty good with facilities, service is everything and I am sorry to write this review because the rest of the staff was fantastic. I hope this review helps. We are honestly not picky, but this lack of service orientation and control really made our stay uncomfortable at the last minute and there was no one else to address this inconvenience.

I have stayed 3 times at this hotel for business. All you need for comfort is readily available. Service, Tidiness and a good restaurant. Tonight I tried A deconstructed tlalpeño broth which is second to none. A tempura shrimp taco for a light appetite was perfect. Ready to rest in perfect neat white sheets and a variety of pillows to meet your demands.
