I stayed for a week and Enrique and the team really looked after me. The room was lovely and spacious, with big bed, chair and desk to make working in it very comfortable. It's right on this beautiful square so I would sit out the front and enjoy the music and delicious breakfast. Then you can go for a wander to see the sights which are all on your doorstep. Overall I would highly recommend this boutique hotel.
I have a very important event to attend in Querétaro so I made reservation directly with the hotel over the phone a year in advance. They told me they would be sending me the confirmation number by email. Never received it. Called several times over the next couple of months to get the confirmation number and the employee who answered the phone kept telling me each time that the person in charge of reservations was not available at the moment. Today was my fifth attempt and after several calls Alan, who is the person in charge finally came to the phone, only to tell me that there was no reservation under my name. I’m furious. So terrible experience, the worst possible guest service and no acceptable offer from him nor the attitude to help me solve the problem they created on the first place by having terrible service. …
We had our annual business meeting and everything is excellent. The location is in the right place where you want to show Mexico as a great country. Very colorful and everything is decorated for independence holiday. Our co-workers from US spent a great time.
This hotel is located in the center of the historical district. Everything was very clean. They had a few issues with their rooms that i really did not like. The toilet seat was very loose and i asked them to fix it, they came and fixed but loosened right away. The electrical for the room was activated by the room key card. Well, when you were out of the room, the A/C did not run and when it did, it wasnt very cool. I would wake up slightly sweating every morning. The staff was all very nice and well dressed and attentive.
The Hotel is nice, but be careful is divided in to sections on different sides of the main square .Do not get a room that faces any of the streets , noise is bad specially on Friday night . Internet did not work, service is bad and the manager just did not want to accept that service is what we paid for , will never go back to this Hotel.
Shortly after arriving to this hotelś beautiful restaurant space it became apparent it was a choice we would later regret. Service was poor, self service omlet and quesadilla stations excruciatingly slow. The steamer labled pollo mole, a significant reason for our eating there, was mislabled and actually beef. We had to request napkins which were not part of the place setting when we arrived. When we got up to get more food they repeatedly removed our silverware without replacing requiring us to find someone to bring replacement. We had to request that they refill salsa (with plenty more waiting) on the buffet line. Dessert was limitted to one type of cake. We arrived almost 2 hours before the end of the buffet. The live music stopped shortly after we got there. With at best average food quality, prices above other better choices in the area and poor service go elsewhere…
We were disappointed for several reasons. The process of doing the check-in, parking and unloading the luggage is really complicated because the same person is the valet and the bellboy and there is no space to do it you have to help him with the process in the middle of the street. The pool is just an adapted fountain and even when it is advertised as a climatized pool, it was cold in a 86 F (30 C) day. The shower was another problem because it had a very low water pressure and extra hot (there was no cold water) Finally, the hotel has pigeons and cockroaches problems. Also if you have a problem good luck solving it by yourself because there is no phone at the room and no one at the front desk you have to go across the the street to the other reception.
My room has been impeccably clean every time I stay there. The room are very spacious and have high ceilings. Beds are very comfortable. I've also enjoyed the breakfast at the outdoor restaurant that has tables just outside of the hotel. This is by far my favorite hotel in downtown Queretaro. Valet parking is about 200 pesos a night.
This is the second trip to Queretaro when we have stayed at the Meson De Santa Rosa. Love, love, love the hotel. Beautiful, Comfortable beds. Great shower. Huge inviting rooms/suites. Wonderful staff-Isreal was a wonder trying to help us with other reservations. My husband's spanish is good, but when things get complicated, a true spanish speaking person helps on the phone.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate his birthday. We, on the spur, booked this hotel and greatly regret it. It is definitely not a five star hotel-three at the most. Our first room they placed us in was the Sophia-1) there were very creepy people across the street staring me down as I tried enjoy view from the balcony (not necessarily the hotels fault but one does like to feel safe where they stay.) 2) at night when we wanted to sleep-it was ridiculous how loud the noise was. They were kind enough to move us to a room in the back (Lola) and the noise was at a much more bearable level. 3) the second night at 11pm we received phone calls from the front desk that someone(Martinez) wanted to speak with my husband-super creepy because we don’t anyone by that name but they knew his-they called two more times trying to convince my husband to take a call downstairs. Please for the love of all that is safe and good DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. If you do I pray your stay was nothing like what we experienced.…
