We have traveled in Africa (Tanzania and Kenya) and have been in many camps, but Chiawa was exceptional. I cannot say enough about the staff, their friendliness and professionalism as well as their local knowledge was unsurpassed. Being right on the Zambezi river was incredible, something new everyday. The accommodations were luxurious and the food increadible. The wildlife was awesome...

Chiawa is a classic safari experience. The personal touch is exceptional and service is that exquisite balance between elusive and intrusive Room's are classic safari suites fully apportioned and sufficiently separate to be able to sit on your verandah and be alone in the bush Fishing guides and Safari guides are well trained, approachable and in my case flexible I...

My wife and I recently returned from 3 weeks in Africa, and the 4 days that we spent at Chiawa were the highlight of our trip. The service is impeccable, the food is five star and the accommodations and scenery are breathtaking. We had fantastic game drives, solid fishing, and a chance to relax a little. The crew at Chiawa...

From the moment that you land at the airstrip to the return journey, you are cared for in a personal, special and unique way. Chiawa offers memorable dining experiences, unique safaris from walking, canoeing and 4WD vehicles, and impeccable service. The staff cannot be recommended more highly from personalized greetings, starting from landing at the dock, to attention to details,...

We chose to spend our honeymoon at the superb Chiawa lodge in the Lower Zambezi on a recommendation from ATR. We had some amazing experiences seeing all the wildlife very close to our lodge and out in the extensive conservation area. When we arrived we were taken out on a night drive to see 4 leopards that had recently killed...

Nestled under a beautiful mahogany forest lies Chiawa Camp. Raised teak decks hold perfectly camouflaged tents. The rooms are large and simply but elegantly furnished with the more traditional safari camp feel, wood paneling in the bathroom is not often seen in the newer camps. I used every opportunity to use the outdoor shower on the side of the modest...

I went with my husband and a group of photographers in mid August 2016. The staff were amazing, constantly coming up with things to delight and surprise you. The accommodations were luxurious and comfortable, the food was great, the guides were uniformly excellent and the wildlife was spectacular. My photographs make me happy whenever I look at them. The lions...

I signed up for a photo tour in Zambia with Squiver photo tours a year and a half ago. I didn't really know what to expect, but I knew it would be good because of the high caliber tour that Squiver offers. They have been visiting Chiawa since 2007 or 2009, and have developed a great relationship with the owner,...

The Chiawa Camp is a great place to be; close to the Lower Zambesi with the song of the hippos. The hospitality is brillant! The kitchen is a dream, the landscape is amazing and the Game drives spectacular. If you are visiting Zambia and the lower Zambesi don't miss to go there. Special congrats also to the couple who is...

Very nice, well run camp, big tents under large shady trees to keep your cool on hot days. Friendly team and always very helpful. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that their sister camp had the edge for me personally but both are wonderful.
