We spent a total of 8 days with Kafunta Safaris. 5 nights at the River Lodge and 3 nights at the Island Bush Camp. Everything was absolutely perfect. Great food, outstanding accommodations and the best service and guides that you could ask for. Ernest and Martin our guides were great, they knew just where to go and kept us entertained... More

It was my first ever visit to the South Luangwa National Park, a park I had read much about and which fascinated me because of the very high density of leopards. I arrive on the afternoon flight by ProFlight from Lusaka at the Mfuwe Airport and my driver waited for me holding high the signboard of Kafunta River Lodge. After... More

I was with a small group of women from Victoria Australia and stayed 9 nights at Kafunta. The lodge is so well set up with views of the river and plain available from all the chalets and the dining area. The hot pool is a very relaxing place to be after a long day out in the safari truck. The... More

Dear Jitendra, Thank you for taking the time to post your review, following your stay at Kafunta River Lodge in July 2015. I'm delighted to read that you were happy with everything, despite our lack of skills for Indian food! That is quite funny that the team tried to make up with last minute recipes collected on internet. I hope... More

We, a party of seven adults, traveled from Alaska to Zambia to see our daughter in the Peace Corps at the end of the wet season. We had previously researched every lodge in all the parks, and communicated with many of them. Anke Cowan welcomed us warmly, and went out of her way to accommodate us through many schedule changes... More

We spend four nights in this amazing Riverside Lodge. The view from their breakfast and dining area is simply overwhelming. The river is about 400 m away and during the day you can see baboons, zebra, Impala and loads of Hippos. These will even accompany are you during your dining experience. And their tour guides are aclass of their own.... More

........Heard repeatedly each day from the smiling committed staff. A lovely lodge in a superb location by a wet (in April) plain in habited by dancing Impala, and lumbering hippo who emerge each night to feed gruntily. That -along with the singing of the cicadas -made a soothing lullaby. Great game drives with Martin who saw everything-even the smallest bird... More

Fabulous and beautiful lodge in the Luanga Valley -accommodation very comfortable. I visited in September last. I know I'm rather late with the review but this does not affect how great kafunta river lodge is.
