I first came to Chindeni in August 2016 and the memory of it hasn't failed me! Located on the edge of a most beautiful lagoon backed by the Chindeni hills from whence the camp gets its name, its peace and beauty is overwhelming. The 'tents'...More

Chindeni's location alongside a large and life-filled lagoon makes it a very special place. We were delighted by our proximity to water buck, impala, crocodiles, elephants and hippos and by the comfort of our chalet.

The camp lets you decide what you want to do as far as game drives or waking safari's. You can make this decision the day of your stay. I, too, would encourage a walking safari but it can be over 2 hours of walking uneven terrain. Game viewing in early to mid June was very good, just never saw a lion, but did see everything else. I think viewing might get better in later June as the water supply dries up for game. You will be pleased whenever you go.
