Not too many words, it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G 😍. Thank you for such a wonderful and unique experience. Great view, great service, great people enjoyed our stay. The elephant clan by the wild 🥭 tree was the best.#MsDIAS#GEORGETHEELEPHANT

Wow, what a wonderful lodge with such wonderful people working there. The rooms were fantastic with a safe, air conditioning and additional fans.As the temperature was in the 40's they were definitely needed. The food was wonderful, but too much for me and I had to ask for smaller portions. The staff were great and really helpful. Ian, the manager took photos of us with George the elephant having a sleep and emailed them to me. Amy helped us fill in the locator forms that the Brirish Government said we would have to complete before being allowed back into the Country. After going to all that trouble, no one at Heathrow Airport asked us for them. Says it all about this useless Government, but doesn't distract from Amy's kind help. Then there was Abraham who had a similar sense of humour to my own and we spent a lot of time having a laugh together. I mustn't forget to mention Alec, our guide, who tried so hard to find us interesting game, along with his spotter Charles, and succeeded by finding Leopard, lions, hyenas, wild dogs and a first time sighting of a bushy tailed mongoose. We also saw all 3 of the endemic species in South Luangwa. {Crawshaws Zebra, Thornicroft Giraffe and Cooksons Wildebeeste}There is nothing of a negative nature that I can say about Mfuwe Lodge except that I wasn't happy at having to leave. What a place. Righy up there with Sausage Tree Camp.

The lodge has recently been renovated and the rooms are spacious and modern and have good air-con units with additional fans to cope with the heat at this time of the year. The staff are knowledgeable and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We have made four trips to Sth Luangwe Game Reserve & we have visited many game parks in Africa and would rate this one of the best parks for game viewing. This trip was made even better by the local guide who took us out twice per day and we also undertook a game walk which was very informative. We also had the privilege of viewing elephant who come right into the lodge grounds to eat fruit from a tree. I would highly recommend this lodge for serious game viewing which is mixed with good meals and good service.

We spent 3 nights at Mfuwe Lodge and we had the most amazing time. It was good to venture out on a holiday after a large part of the year was spent mostly cooped up at home. The lodge is making an effort to implement Covid safety measures while still creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. We had excellent game drives with our safari guide Fannuel. He is one of the most knowledgeable and personable guides we've ever had. He welcomed all our questions and shared his vast knowledge about the animals and the landscape with us. He was also excellent with our 2 year old son keeping him engaged during game drives and also giving him some lessons about the bush during our stops. We had brilliant sightings of leopard, wild dog, lion and elephant to mention a few. The food and the service was amazing and the staff and managers were all so friendly and welcoming. We especially loved how special everyone made our 2 year old son feel. He had the best time. We wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely love to return to do an on foot safari or see how the rainy season changes the landscape. Or even better, see the elephants walk through the reception area to get to the mango trees in November. We highly recommend going to South Luangwa national park and staying Mfuwe Lodge.
