I went on safari with Dazzle Africa, a non-profit that works in the Mfuwe area with conservation and education. The chalets at Mfuwe lodge are beautiful and very comfortable. The staff make you feel right at home and are very accommodating to dietary requests and other needs. The elephants walking through the reception area on their way to the mango...

This was my first trip to Africa and EVERY SINGLE THINGS ABOUT IT was wonderful. Mfuwe Lodge is beautiful , there is no doubt about it, but it is the staff...the kindness, the attentiveness, the laughter, the food, that makes this place so special. I travel a lot for work, all over the world and the beauty of the Mfuwe...

Each year elephants visit the lodge to get to a great old mango tree. When the mango is in fruit (usually late October through December) the elephants may walk through the lobby to get to the fruit. They did that the first and last day of my 4 night stay, and I videoed them both times. My room was a...

This is quite a popular destination and can get full. The hospitality is excellent and the game viewing from the rooms incomparable. The staff were extremely helpful. The food was very good. We were lucky enough to experience an excellent game drive; a pack of African wild dogs, hunting a baby Impala at short distance; plus some hyenas and a...

Wonderful main lodge, great food, charming, and comfortable private lodges. Guides James and Patson were so incredibly knowledgeable and must have binoculars in their eyes as they had uncanny abilities to spot animals and birds. Staff prepared a lovely meals and a brunch under the trees in the bush as a surprise one day. We were able to watch elephants...

My daughter and I have just returned from Zambia, the final three nights having been spent at Mfuwe ..... my first Safari. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful, the chalets were a delight with a continual floor show of elephants, warthogs, waterbuck et al, visiting the waterhole below our terrace. The food was super too. A special thanks...

Mfuwe Lodge was as exceptional as always. This is our 5th year bringing safari guests to the South Luangwa and our stay at the lodge is always a special experience. Incredible wildlife sightings on property, exceptional guides, delicious food, comfy beds and there is now an aircon option for those of you visiting in warmer months. The employees of Mfuwe...

Mfuwe Lodge is wonderful. My friend and I stayed there two nights in October 2016. The chalets are beautifully decorated and have air conditioning (which was so nice after being in a camp that did not). All the verandas have views of the river, which gave us a 24/7 view of the hippos and crocs. The lodge itself is gorgeous,...

Having been away from Luangwa for far too long I was looking for a lodge in the park which meant that all of the animals were right there. Mfuwe Lodge did not disappoint with the deck looking over water holes and mud areas which drew the animals all day long. Gilbert the guide was great. His smile and wit were...
