Mfuwe Lodge is a perfect staging post for your foray into this amazing national park. Extremely smart and comfortable, with delicious abundant food, and a great introduction to the stunning Bushcamp Co hospitality, led by the lovely Amy. A great base for game drives in its own right, if you can drag youself away from watching the antics of the...

The Mfuwe Lodge is just very good! The buildings are nice, good and new. The chalet we had is the best I have had in any park in Africa. A comfortable bed, a spacious and well laid out bathroom. The chalet we had is one of 10 on a small lagoon with hippos. They will some times walk past in...

I have visited S Luangwa numerous times over the last 30 years and in my opinion its one of the best game parks in Africa. Visitors generally tend to avoid the green/rainy season but there are upsides - lots of animals have just had their young, there are fewer vehicles in the park and lions, like most cats, don't like...

Everything about our trip to South Luangwa National Park was amazing. Our guide, Peter, took us on 3 different game drives and every experience was unique… He answered all the questions we had about the park and the animals. Though there was some debate about whether or not parliament is the collective noun for owls or baboons. The lodge was...

The lodge could not be better - its in the heart of the national park with animals literally walking through the facility (elephants walk through it during some seasons)...the food was as good as I've ever had (forget that we were in Africa eating...)...the staff are wonderful...we saw as many different types of animals in the park as we could...

I visited the Mfuwe lodge together with my parents for two nights in january 2017. Already at the airport we received a warm welcome and right before arriving to the lodge we got to see four lions resting along the road. The start to our safari experience couldn't have been better. Even though we came during the rain season we...

Mfuwe lodge is the luxury lodge in South Luangwa, Zambia. The place is beautiful, the rooms are luxury bush camp and the food was delicious. I could spend hours just looking at the birds in the dry water bed (I went in May 2016). The staff was great, the safaris and the guides were top notch- everything was spectacular. I...

Long, low bungalow type construction beautifully styled and positioned. Cool and opulent and relaxed. Plenty of areas to hang out, cogitate and enjoy a beer, a lazy swim or study the wildlife that frequent the hotel (inside and out!) especially in mango season. Our villa alongside the hippo/croc pool was well appointed and designed and the views kept us busy....

Every year is such a fantastic festive season at Mfuwe. Christmas carols in the bush, lots of other surprises, sundowners by the river. The guides are very knowledgeable and look after all your needs, even making sure they have the right drinks to take for sundowners. The food is out of this world. Just know you're going to put on...
