Once again i had the pleasure of spending 9 fantastic days in the camp along the luangwa river. And again it was just perfect. The chalet, meals and staff were as excellent as all the times before. Regarding the drives me and another visitor had the pleasure of doing the them with only the guide and the two of us....

Each camp site has a thatched shelter to keep oneself cool during the day. Campsites are big enough and mostly adapted to the roof top campers. The big overlad groups can make the place look crowded. Without overlanders, The place is peaceful. Occasional visit of elephants during the evening/night. But if you do not move, they do not harm you....

Upon our arrival most of the Campsites were occupied by a group of Peace Corps volunteers and students from their villages - Although they were excessively noisy at times, this was not an issue as they were having the time of their life. We were advised that we were allocated campsites 1 & 2 which the manager claimed were their...

We spent 4 nights at Wildlife Camp, right on the edge of the river (call ahead to book). Even though the sites were a little small, the views were phenomenal - four lionesses crossed the river right in front of us on our first night! Good ablutions, and a nice swimming pool that overlooks the river to cool off in....

This was our third time to stay about a month at The Wildlife Camp. The Wildlife Camp is remote enough to feel like one is really on safari. We enjoy the staying in the excellent campsite area on the bluff overlooking the river. The beautiful Campsite Bar, Pool, and rustic ablutions blocks are a welcome amenities. For those with less...

Camp is situated on the River. While almost dry when we visited in October, there was still ample wildlife viewing opportunities. We were there four nights, and daily saw on the far banks of the mostly-dried river bed elephants, Impala, Kudu, and warthog. The Camp has its own watering hole which likewise attracted into camp elephants, impala, and warthogs. There’s...

I went with a group camping at Wildlife Camp. Our tents were near the waterhole where the elephants came each day to drink and have a bath. When it gets dark, lots of animals drop by to drink. Luckily I have a night vision cam, so I could enjoy genets, porcupine and hyenas without disturbing them. One evening we could...

This is a wonderful spot, especially if you can get one of the campsites on the river. South Luangwa Park is unfenced, so there is a ton of wildlife running around the camp. It feels very wild. However, the campsites are very comfortable, with electricity, drinking water, and shaded picnic tables. It is perfect. They also serve delicious food at...

Of the three camps we stayed in in the Mfuwe area, this one was - as the name suggests - most wildlife oriented. We would rate all camps more or less equally, but Wildlife Camp is the only one without a swimming pool. Instead, it has better wildlife oportunities in the camp. The camp is clean, the staff is helpful,...

One month holidays and in total more than one week at Wildlife Camp! Yes! Actually, we had an accident with our car within the Nsefu Sector. We were crushed by another vehicle quite badly. Our car was no more drivable (unfortunately, their car was the bigger one). Scouts from a nearby Lodge pulled us out of the NP. It took...
