We spent 3 nights here - and stayed in a quite simple, but bright and nice chalet. We booked a package including all meals and safaris, and everything worked perfectly. Nice early breakfast, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Everything excellent. Only risk is that you gain weight ;-) Even though we stayed here in the raining season, we had...

Flatdogs was our first choice, but they were sold out so we ended up staying elsewhere. However, we still wanted to check it out so we stopped there for lunch after a self-drive in the national park. The food was fantastic, and the service even better. We also got a tour of the grounds, and wow!! The tents were spectacular,...

Recently spent 3 nights here while recently visiting my daughter who is in the peace corps. Managers Jaime and Wendy were superb. We requested Geoffrey to be our guide. We did 2 day safaris and 2 night safaris. He sure knows his birds. While on safaris we spotted over 120 bird species. Tents are very comfortable and meals were delicious....

2 adult couples sharing the 2 bedroom Crocs Nest. The rooms are big and comfortable with each bedroom en suite and a large living area between the 2 rooms.. Private deck and pool overlooking the Luwanga River. Service was top notch. Flat Dogs is just outside the entrance to the park, takes 5 minutes or so to the gate and...

While vacationing near South Luanga National Park, we had lunch at Flatdog. It was wonderful! My grandson had a terrific hamburger, another had the pizza....I loved the nacho chips. We sat near waters edge, and enjoyed impala sightings and baboons. Drinks were very refreshing.....with lots of ice!!!!! You must eat here when entering or exiting the park. Attentive staff!

What a marvelous place! we were there after a bit of rain and at a quiet time. they were able to organise a walking safari for us which was a fantastic experience. our guides were very knowledgeable. the night safaris were very different and meant we had our afternoon snack in the park as sky darkened with hippos snorting birds...

I've visited several African countries and stayed in a number of game lodges, but Flatdogs is really up there amongst the best. We (four of us) stayed in the tented Croc's Nest which is beautifully designed by the owners, Jess and Ade, and has two bedroom/bathroom wings, and a large central sitting area with comfortable seating, a dining table and...

This is number one for this area for a reason -- value. For one thing, you can order just about any food you like. This is important to me because I am diabetic. Watch out for the Baboons -- they are destructive and will get into your tent, if they can. Hippos and elephants also wander about. The name flt...

We stayed here as part of our trip for my birthday to include Zambia and Malawi. From our initial safety orientation to our last farewell every experience was absolutely ten out of ten . Animals wander through the camp and guest safety is paramount. Within an hour of arriving I came face to trunk with a male elephant. I did...
