I loved the attention to detail at Puku Ridge and the special dinners and drinks events that we received as surprises while staying there. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food, thanks to chef William, is amazing! There is a marvellous view over the flood plain where animals are constantly appearing to graze. The camp is very...

The location is spectacular. You overlook a flood plain graced by Puku (obviously), elephants, and other fantastic creatures. The camp feels quite remote which gives it a bit more of an adventurous feeling than other accommodations we have stayed at while on safari. The customer service is really second to none. The staff go above and beyond at every opportunity....

Staying at Puku Ridge was my first experience ever at a safari park and it didn't disappoint! Right from the get go we saw so many animals just driving into the park from the airport and we weren't even trying! Plus since it was baby season, we got to see tons of them! Our guide, Lamek, was phenomenal and very...

This was edgy, raw and exhilarating - a truly memorable experience. The Lodge is very isolated - a two hour trip from Mfuwe airport on rough unsealed roads - in the depths of an amazing park. We were surrounded by hippos, impalas, baboons among others walking through and around the lodge. The game drives were a highlight - particularly the...

We were treated like kings and queens. Food, service, attitude, tented room facility, outside shower, wooden deck, drinks and location are perfect, top notch! We went in October (very hot) and saw lots of game. We were allowed to visit other lodges in the park to go swimming and massage treatments. Evidence and his staff were very friendly and always...

My wife, daughter, son-in-law and I stayed for 4 nights in the beginning of July. We were met immediately at the airport by Elias who would be our exclusive guide( except for one walking trip) throughout the entire 4 days- he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to make sure that we saw...

We travelled here for our first taste of a Zambian safari and it certainly didn't disappoint. The welcome set the scene as all the staff were very professional but so friendly. Our accommodation was superb with stunning views and so well looked after. The food was imaginative and beautifully presented with excellent wines. However, it was the animals that we...

I cannot rate Puku Ridge highly enough. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. This is our 5th stay at a Sanctuary property and one of many safaris we have done. First I want to thank and commend the staff. They were extraordinarily gracious, kind and attentive to every need. What a blessing to be around them---truly...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp has embraced a very natural African chic style in its decoration, blending in completely with its local environment. The camp has been constructed to blend into the local surroundings and designed to leave the lowest possible carbon footprint. Complimentary wireless internet access is available in the main areas of the camp. Afternoons are spent relaxing in the camp’s large living area in between game activities. Listen out for the Puku antelope whistling to one other when there is danger in the air. When evening arrives, make your way to the central dining area for a delectable gourmet meal in the bush, or order dinner on your own private deck for a romantic night under the stars. Each of the seven safari tents has picture windows and its own viewing deck overlooking the plains where game amble across for a drink of water. Generous and comfortable, each tent has an ensuite bathroom with bath tub and shower, as well as an outdoor shower shaded by forest, all stocked with environmentally friendly products for your pure indulgence. Watch the sun rise from your double bed, elephants bathing from the comfort of your bath tub, perhaps even wild dogs making their way across the plains in pursuit of prey from your private viewing deck. ... more   less
