After a couple of hours on the salt road in misty weather, we arrived at Cape Cross Lodge. Dirty cold and far overdue for renovation or upgrade room. There was no Management present, staff tried the best. Broken ornaments in room. Dirty door mat. Food mediocre. Once again no Manager present. Atmosphere cold and no idea of customer service. It... A great stop over for either camping or accommodation on the Skeleton Coast which is reachable by car & close to the seal colony. The people were helpful & friendly. Well worth a visit when next at Henries Bay in Namibia.

As a hotel, it is average. Comfortable and clean. The service is friendly and helpful. The meals I had were good; I enjoyed being able to have dinner by the fire. The best thing this hotel has going for it is location. I drove out the next morning via Skeleton National Park on my way to Etosha. The drive is... More

Our impression of this hotel was a little odd. It is extremely remote and we were there during a period of bad weather at the coldest time of year, plus the hotel is undergoing renovation. I don't think we should evaluate it by when we were there. It is open and bright and I can imagine that these would all... More

Everything you could need in this part of the world. Good campsites with a braai, sink and electricity. Clean and modern ablutions. The lodge is beautiful, right next to the ocean. Very informative of the history of the area and the wildlife surrounding the lodge. A must for anyone passing by.

We drove the 3.5-4 hours to Cape Cross Lodge which is situated right on the ocean. The drive from Mowani was fine and when you get to the ocean, the road turns into a salt flat which s super smooth and easy to drive on. We arrived at Cape Cross in time for lunch and had fresh caught oysters and... More

We had our lunch here while visiting the seal colony. We had a set menu for our group. The food and service was good. There is a bar here too. It was quiet the day we were here, but as I remember the lodge had a nice setting if you need a place to stay. It also has a curio... More

Decided to take a trip up the Nam coast. Ended up visiting this stunning place. Had a great meal. No words to describe. You need to experience it yourself. Dessert on one side, the sea on the other side.

I had dinner here while in the area. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming, although we were not staying at the lodge. Our meal was fine and reasonably priced -- it would likely be otherwise unmemorable were it not for the beautiful views from the dining room onto the ocean. Watching the sun go down as we ate was... This is the best place to camp if you are on this part of the coast. As its windy on the coast they have built a concrete L shaped wall to block the wind at each site and have a small kitchenette area and a brai. The shared toilet and shower blocks were very clean with very hot water. It... More
