We had our wedding there this past weekend & were absolutely BLOWN AWAY. Rooms were fantastic, with an amazing seaview, and fully equipped with everything you need & the campsites were just as great with their bathrooms very spacious and neat as well. Our arrangements and correspondation with the lodge before & during the wedding was very professional and super easy. Nothing was ever too much trouble or not possible for them. They went out of their way to meet all our needs at a very reasonable price! They accomodated my dad who is in a wheelchair and he was able to move everywhere with no trouble at all, this we are SO GRATEFUL FOR! The staff helped us with the setup of everything beforehand and compliments to the chef on the MOST DELICIOUS FOOD! All our guests were extremely happy and one of the highlights of the venue was the fact that everything, rooms, restaurant, bar & campsite are within 1 minute walk from each other. This was the most beautiful day of my life & we would recommend the lodge to absolutely everyone, to have your wedding, birthday party or just to escape reality! The Cape Cross seal reserve is close by & fishing or long walks by the beach is great for spending time alone or with loved ones. Thanks to Life & his amazing team for providing excellent service and creating the day of our dreams! Absolutely in love with Cape Cross Lodge!…
We didn’t stay here, we passed by as we were too early to enter into the seal reserve, we had a walk around the cape cross lodge as well we visited the small museum in the lodge, interesting place. Located 60km North of Henties Bay, in the middle of the skeleton coast.
Stopped here for lunch as part of a travelling group of 12 The location was amazing and lovely to look out at the lovely view Lunch was excellent plenty of food excellent friendly waiting staff The only thing that disappointed me was that there was a charge for WIFi
Could not eat half of it. What I did eat was tough and gristle. I mentioned it to the waiter and the only thing he did was to say he was sorry, and that other customers had the same experience. Will not recommend this restaurant. Management was informed but had no response
We arrived at the lodge late on the afternoon of the 1st of Feb and was welcomed by the friendly and efficient staff of the lodge. All the rooms are sea facing units with balconies. There is a small museum covering the history of Cape Cross. For those wanting to camp, a dedicated area behind the lodge is demarcated and equipped for just that. The dinner was well prepared and enjoyable and we opted for a lovely Portugese wine from their cellar. The kitchen prepared breakfast packs for us as we wanted to leave very early the next morning. Well worth a visit!
