Great stop between Sossusvlei and Swakop. Viewed multiple sunsets on our approach coming from the south - truly beautiful. Bungalows are well appointed and comfortable - beautiful private views of the landscapes. Lovely walks on property - only got to do one - wished we had more time. Good was pricey but tasty - guess you have to haul it... More

Quirky igloo rooms with great views to the mountains. Best pool of those we used (warm enough to swim) Restaurant was good as was the service The Safari drive in the evening was great with a particularly impressive herd of zebra and sunset.

Set on a mountainside overlooking the desert with a herd of zebra below what a location. Rooms are high spec based on concrete igloos with balconies to enjoy the amazing view. First class service with lovely welcome tour from receptionist. Only let down was rather indifferent restaurant food.

We had two nights at this wonderful, quirky little lodge. The owner was a wonderful host who was able to anticipate what we would like. The service was great and we were taken out for a sundowner drive when the guide provided lots of interesting information about the area and its wildlife, including zebra, oryx and meerkats.

The lodge itself was very nice but +- 7kms to the camp site, which is very rough with uneven ground and looks like it was placed as an afterthought, well hidden from the lodge. The shower cubicle has the door cut down so you can see the view (of the camp site), cut so low anyone in a roof top... More

We initially booked the Rostock Ritz as a stop-over point (twice) on our road trip through Namibia (en route to and from Sesreim)... but it a place simply worth visiting for the expansive views over the desert! Comfortable rooms (with perfectly adequate fans for cooling down), great pool with a fabulous view, large food selection for meals and lovely staff... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rostock. The owner is an exceptional host & the staff very helpful & friendly. Both supper & breakfast were most enjoyable. The accommodation is very unique & their utilising solar power is very commendable.

We have mixed feelings about this lodge. The lodge is nice, warm welcome of the staff, good food and nice surroundings. The views are amazing, really a lovely space out there in the desert. There are meerkats in a surrounded area, but they're free the go. If you like to photograph these loveley animals, this is a superb spot. The... More

Nice quiet place in the middle of nowhere. Highly reccomended. Food is very good. Aircons would place this into the perfect category. Do not feed the meerkats. Nice walks and planerides optional. A bit far from the main road but its on purpose.

The lodge might be ok but unfortunately the camping is not. Unfortunately we paid without seeing the site which is a long way - approx. 7km away from the reception. Its not even ground so hard to get level for a rooftop or trailer, rocky and the 4 sites are right next to each other when they have thousands of... More
