Our safari group had an enjoyable stay here at this pleasant oasis. It’s an attractive property surrounded by old abandoned cars and farm equipment surrounded by desert, which provide unique photo opportunities. The group really enjoyed the quality buffet meals here, so it is worth dropping in for a meal even if you don’t intend to stay overnight. The pool... More

A rather disappointing stay - no hot water in rather sad ablutions but otherwise average camp sites with decent braai areas. Free wifi in the bar area and nice friendly staff. Stunning desert sunsets.

Very neat, clean and so exciting place to visit. Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived in the dark and they were very helpful with buffet dinner ready for us. We will definitely stay there again.....

We stayed in the Lodge in the past and this time we booked a camping site. The venue do have a certain attractiveness for people who love Namibia, but during our stay there were certain minor issues. The lights needed replacement in the showers, the gas heaters for the showers were turned off and no hot water was present. This... More

Very accommodating and friendly staff. We arrived late the evening and everything was prepared and waiting for our group. Buffet dinner was good and bar facility well stocked. Accommodation was very good with comfortable beds and shower facility. Breakfast packs were supplied for early morning departure. WARNING: Do not leave without a piece of apple pie from the bakery -... More

No hot water in bathrooms - we thought that is was all used by the time we showered, but the next morning the same cold water! Just before we left for our next destination I asked the cleaner about the cold water situation and he then told me that they are waiting for a "part" for heating the water. Why... More

Solitaire used to be a "one horse town" - well, not even a town. Fuel was available but was hand pumped, and Solitaire lived up to its name. Now it is a fuel station (electric pumps), a shop, bakery, restaurant, and lodge. It's the natural stopping point on the way to or from Sossuvlei. There is a growing collection of... More

Our rooms were clean and spacious but the bathroom was a little cramped. Only problem was that two rooms shared a geyser so the last person to bath after supper had cold water. Facilities were satisfactory but this is a one night stop only, unless it is used as a local base, as there is very little in Solitaire.

It's a very good accommodation , situated between Swakopmund and Sesriem. That's like a Bagdad Cafe movie. It's a very quiet place and the personal is very friendly. A good hospitality. The breakfast and diner are very good.
