Set in an incredible location, one expect an incredible experience, but that is not the case. The service at reception is well below par and that goes for the service at meals as well. The breakfast and dinner buffets are exceptional, but that cannot be said for the rooms. The pillows are like bricks and there is only a very... More

It is a very beautiful place. We had a modernized cabin. which for us was sufficient enough. The food was a buffet with enough choice and good quality. Internet only in the lobby. The tour was most interesting with a skilled guide. But the best service we had when the car wouldn't start. The mechanic reconnect the battery, updated the... More

This is an architecturally inspired lodge, where the main building (reception/bar/restaurant) is built into and on top of huge boulders, and the rooms are situated along a path with a nice view of the surrounding hills, Our group stayed in rooms facing outward toward the surrounding hills across the plain, and so did not experience rooms facing directly on the... The lodge is a long way drive, but once you are there it is worth it. The rooms are a little small but who sends time in the room. The dining room was wonderful. We did a off rod 4X4 along the river and were rewarded with a photo op with the desert elephant. We were able to get great... More

We spent 2 nights at the lodge and initially we where given rooms 39/40 and we refused them as they are facing the rocky back view! We got room 17 and 18, facing east! Nice, but no Wifi all over the lodge for both days. No air conditioning in the room. Lunch first day with menu, second day only buffet.... More

We were really looking forward to staying at Twyfelfontein Country Lodge, but ended up being very disappointed. The checking in at reception was chaotic. We were given 3 front facing rooms and 4 back facing rooms, all at the same price! The front rooms were lovely with big balconies, light, airy rooms and stunning views. The back rooms were dark... The rooms of the lodge are recently renovated, which makes the up-to-date. The rooms have a fan, but should have an airconditioning. The location is absolute wonderful. The food is good, but the light in the restaurant is pourly designed. If those issues are adressed it Will be the best lodge in Damaraland.

After a long hot dusty bumpy road, there it was. Excellent service, very friendly staff, ice cold beer and a cool breeze! Heaven! Meals were an absolute delight! Wish I could have stayed longer! Next time!!

We arrived to an amazing place. The walk to the main building is really something special. But is stops there for us. The staff we short and not that welcoming when compared to other lodges we have stayed in. We got our room key and headed to our room. There are about 60 room in groups of eight per chalet... More

By staying at this lodge you will support a property owner as well as a manager who clearly show no interested in customer satisfaction, evident already in their reluctance to respond to any of the negative reviews on this page. And there are quite a few. We booked two nights as we were attending a wedding at a different lodge... More
