We stayed for two nights at Huab Lodge and it was definitely too short! We especially liked the warm welcome, the delicious food, the apartment with the big balcony and the lapa with the nice view. Salome is an awesome guide and we enjoyed the morning walks with her! It is the perfect place when you have a passion for...

If you look on the map the Lodge looks pretty isolated - and it is. The rooms are comfortable with a pleasant outlook but you will be aware there is no air con so our visit late November was pretty hot, however, the temperature cools at night so sleep is okay. Our hosts and their staff were very entertaining and...

I was initially disappointed to find that we Huab Lodge was quite far from some of the local attractions, but we quickly changed plans and decided to spend the day at the lodge instead of racing off to see the organ pipes and other rock formations. It turned out to be a wise decision. After driving for about 1 200...

Set in a private reserve, a small number of beautiful rooms with a central sitting / dining are - this was one of the highlights of our Namibia tour. Nature walks and drives showed us some of the diverse plant and animal life in the area and were a delight. The staff were so friendly, warm and welcoming that we...

We stayed for 3 nights in August. The staff are outstanding- very welcoming and attentive. Jaap and Cathy who run the place were so easy and interesting to talk to. The rooms are lovely- spacious, very clean, quite traditional. The food was amazing! So varied and delicious. There are a few things that could be improved: as below, the pool...

The lodge really is a little bit of old fashioned luxury in a very dry and sandy landscape 35kms on a dust road from the main C35. The owners no longer reside here due to health problems but the staff are still maintaining some excellent standards. There are some wonderful touches in the individual room lodges which give a feeling...

Wonderful peaceful place in a private atmosphere. Hot spring and massage as fine as the quiet bungalows. Good meals, also for vegetarians. Everybody sitting at a long table in the Lapa (16 people). Really good informations through the guides on the booked morning tour and sundowner tour. Very heartly staff.

Stayed here on a birdwatching trip 3 nights. The cabins are extremely comfortable, ours had 2 double beds, shower, hot & cold water. Excellent friendly staff who seem eager to supply every need. We did a 2 hr. Walk before the 8 am breakfast each day looking for birds & game such as Oryx, Klipspringer, Mountain Zebra. Then a mid...

There are no more elephants in Damaraland as they have been moved to Etosha. The food at the lodge is OK, the accomodation is somewhat outdated, not what travelers are expecting these days in terms of comfort.
