Mowani Mountain Camp is set in such a stunning setting it is difficult to describe. The accommodation is luxurious although the lack of air conditioning is a problem. Wifi is not available which is unacceptable in this day and age. Yes the scenery is stunning, but it is not up to the management to decide that guests should be looking... More

Once again a last minute change, we booked initially their campsite, because we understood both lodges (kipwe and mowani) were fully booked. Although once arrived, they had a free room at Mowani, claiming that their booking system was not (never) accurate and not up to date. We already stayed here once, so we could benchmark, the lodge is still very... More

This place is special. We had "The Suite" for one night while travelling through Damaraland. The suite looks over the valley below and is absolutely private. There is an outside bath and shower as well as an inside bathroom. The view from the huge bed is stunning as is the view from the lounge and deck area. The meals were... More

Close to Twyfelfontein (rock paintings) and dotted among the boulder rocks lie the mushroom like domes of the lodge. Rooms are separate bungalows that are very spacious with a luxury interior and with a nice terrace. Reception is excellent. The rooms have no keys and are not locked. Inside you have an electronic in-room safe. There is no minibar and... More

Superb accommodation in a unique setting. Friendly and helpful staff and a very good restaurant. Sundowners overlooking the valley are essential! Spent 2 nights here which also allowed plenty time for the Desert Elephant safari - not to be missed and a nice contrast to the Etosha game experience.

We were disappointed. Indeed this lodge is not very fair. The camper has no right to use the lodge accomodations (swimmingpool, restaurant, bar ...). So you can die. Happily, the campsite is Nice with beautifull view.

Unfortunately we only got to spent one night at the "camp", yet it was absolutely worth the trip. From the arrival at the gate to reception where our luggage and car were taken care of, we felt special and welcome. The superior room - well a tent actually - we got, "without a view" - was simply stunning. Spacious, practical,... More

This is a beautiful luxury accommodation in a dramatic landscape. We stayed in the mini suite, so had a lounge area, with a huge flat screen tv and free minibar!!! The bedroom was equally opulent and the outside bathroom added to its charm. Also 2 private outside seated areas. Lovely food, great spot for sundowners and attentive staff all added... More

I totally agree with all the reviews and would just be repeating what has already been said. We had a fantastic positioned tent which was very private and we were able to have our own private sundowner every night. We stayed for 3 nights which was great and you certainly should not stay any less than 2! The welcome drink... More

We had just one night at this beautiful place. The lodge respects the nature and you hardly see the rooms from far. Pool is very nice, so is the sunset at the view point. DInner was very good and they offer a fireplace. Take the superior room, you won't have the sun set but the sun rise
