We stayed two nights at Damaraland Camp on our road trip around Namibia. It was fantastic - the food was amazing, the staff are wonderful and the scenery is spectacular. The desert elephants were lovely and it was amazing to see water in the middle of a very dry area. The tented lodges are very comfortable, but get hot during... More

I absolutely loved this camp and I am very particular. Our tent was perfect and overlooked expansive, beautiful wilderness. I loved how the "lobby" and dining area were all outside and open air. My fiancé and I especially enjoyed the communal dining table whereby at dinner we were able to chat with the other guests. If you want to dine... More

Dear rounsley, Thank you so much for this glowing review of Damaraland Camp! It is wonderful to hear that you and your fiance enjoyed all facets of your stay - from the design of the camp with its' cold swimming pool (very brave of you to swim in our winter!) to the dining experience and care of the staff! Thank you Vanessa, Jacques and the rest of the wonderful staff !! The location of the camp is beautiful with magnificent views of Twyfelfontein, Mikberg and Brandberg. Our room was exquisite and large and we received a welcome bottle of Champaigne (MCC). The food was brilliant and Roos (Desert Rose) and Ghandi were excellent waiters. We loved the surprise breakfast... More

Dear ritaSouthAfrica, Namibia is full of surprises like this! What looks like a barren landscape at first, is in fact a place with so much more to offer - from a large variety of wildlife that have adapted to the harsh conditions to the people who have done the same, plus of course the incredible scenery with its constantly changing... We decided on this place last minute as we were originally booked into Dora Nawas. The welcome here is so special after such a long drive on quite difficult roads it did just the trick. The lodges are a cross between tents and wooden lodges, the rooms are elegant and in keeping with the environment. Fresh cool water is put... More

We spend three nights in this lodge during our family holiday, a self drive in Namibia. Of the nine lodges we have visited, Damaraland camp was unanimously chosen as our favourite one. This was because of the location, in the dramatic and beautiful scenery of Damaraland, the luxury tents and the very good food. But, above all, we appreciated the... More

This resort is one of a kind. We were a group of 7 that visited this safari camp for a family visit. It was a bit difficult getting there but once there, it was just an unbelievable experience. It's a long drive to get here but we really enjoyed it. Staff are very well trained, friendly with great attention to detail. Our room was furthest from the main area so the views were amazing. We visited Damaraland Camp for three nights in June when we met up with friends who chose it. We knew going in that this camp wouldn't offer as much wildlife as other safari camps; however, even with lowered expectations we were disappointed. The only wildlife to see are the desert adapted elephants (which you can see at several other camps... More
