We stayed at DMC for 3 nights on a self-drive trip through Namibia in November 2015 (so this review is long overdue!). The Huab riverbed and the so-called Desolation Valley down the camp are stunningly beautiful – and much less “desolate” than may think. On our first day, we had some fantastic sightings of desert-adapted elephant and other wildlife along...

My first words when we rounded the corner of the bumpy road to see the camp were 'who on earth thought to be a camp here'. It is remote but a wonderful place. Greeted with a cold drink and a lovely song. We stayed three nights but apparently most people stay two. A guide is allocated to you for the...

This camp was the 'stay of a lifetime' and nothing prepared us for what we arrived to stay in for 2 nights. We had the warmest of welcomes from all staff and were greeted by an understated seating area, alongside the communal dining table, bar and plunge pool all overlooking the most stunning views of Damaraland desert. On arriving at...

We stayed 2 nights as part of a tour and could not have been more pleased. It is a bumpy 20 minute drive to the "camp" but worth it for the views and sittings of mountain zebras. Staff greeted us with cool washcloths and big smiles. Attentive staff. Great food. Note though that not all rooms have electrical outlets so...

Dear Dickson0202, Thank you for the beautiful review, we are delighted to see how much you enjoyed your stay with us and glad to see the bumping drive from the airstrip was worth it. We spent two nights at Damaraland Camp and really enjoyed it. It is very remote and with just 10 rooms/houses, it is very peaceful and in a beautiful location. The Damaraland area is pure, raw beauty. There is no phone signal or internet access available so be aware of that if you can’t live without it. Each house is situated...

I have heard about Wilderness Safaris for years - and finally I was fortunate to stay in their camps this month. Damaraland Camp was absolutely fantastic and 1 night there was not long enough.
