Wow! This resort is truly beautiful. I appreciated the hospitality that was displayed to us. Ana Paula was willing to accommodate us when I called a day before arrival. She was warm & receptive. Paulinho was generous with his time, giving us his afternoon off to visit the dunes & to take us to places where we could buy certain requirements. The staff in general made us feel at home & very comfortable. The rooms were cleaned efficiently & on time. We enjoyed the food, which was prepared with care. The resort has 10 units but it was so peaceful. All I wanted to do was to enjoy the tranquility which the place had to offer. It was awesome to be right on the beach. I would definitely return there & I would certainly recommend it to others.

Booked 2 rooms in a bungalow and paid for them 6 months ahead. Our stay was planned 2-5 JAN20. On 2 JAN 2 hrs before our flight from Joburg to Vilanculos, we get message from the hotel that they cannot accommodate us due to overbooking. They offered to stay at Dona Ana hotel. Since there was no time to look for alternatives, we decided to go to the destination. We were picked up by hotel driver and brought to Dona Ana hotel for one night. Rest 2 nights they found spaces at Villas do Indico. Dona Ana hotel was a horrible one with horrible location, horrible service, horrible breakfast. Our short holiday was ruined. On second day we arrived at Villas Do Indico. Very nice hotel, great location although quite secluded, you cannot go out from the hotel, lunch and dinner can be arrnaged at the hotel directly. Rooms are very authentic in african style, but there are clouds of ants everywhere. Breakfasts are very good, but juts have to ask for an omlette, otherwise what is at the tables is not enough. We tried lunch and dinner. All food and drinks are perfect. There is nice pool, shower at the pool. Access to the beach across the reef on a wooden passway. The beach is less influenced by the tide-off. As a compensation for the night at a horrible hotel Dona Ana, we were offered 60 mins massage. A good sign of care but still I cannot understand how management chose to bump off guests with two rooms confirmed and paid reservation who would stay only 3 nights....Obviously it is bad management that results in overbookings.

For Lazy readers A picture speaks a thousand words so feel free to view the pictures

If heaven was a place on earth this would be it. Villas do Indico offers excellent service in paradise with attention to every detail. Dimique attended to everything making this a spectacular experience where guest can sit back and relax.

1.Dinning : Dimique (D-K) works day and night to create the most breath taking dinning experiences ranging from a night under the stars to breakfast at dawn overlooking pearly white sands with crystal blue water. Mouth watering affordable seafood platter for two including two lobster tails, calamari, fish and prawns.

2.Rooms: This luxurious air conditioned villa offers soft comfortable beds covered with mosquito nets ensuring a peacefull night. 24/7 Room service keeping everything neat, spotless and clean.

3.Entertainment: Canoe free for use by guests. Occasionally live entertainment with musicians mastering several instruments. Boat trips : Island visiting with a unique memorable snorkeling experience with dugong, sea turtles, dolphins viewing and dining on the island with the best barbequed prawns including sides. Would definitely recommend Bazaruto and Bangeruera island.

We were a group of six people (four adults and 2 youths) who stayed for five days at Villas do Indico and we had a great time! There are many reasons for this -- an important one being that this is situated right on the beach. This is in contrast to many of the other sites up and down the coast close to Vilanculos and makes both for easy access to the beach and swimming and, also, that you really experience being connected to the sea. Swimming from the beach is also great at this particular place on the coast and it is truly amazing to be able to walk on the beach in either direction without hardly meeting any others as it is located quite some distance from Vilanculos. Other highlights:

*Excellent staff! Everyone working there is friendly, helpful and will go out of your way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Many also speak excellent English, for those not conversant in Portuguese.

*Fantastic chef! While we were there, the chef produced a series of great and quite varied dishes, many with fresh fish and seafood. This means that, while there, you do not really miss going into Vilanculos to eat.

*Bazaruto Island tour organised from next door! Villas do Indico is located literally next door (20 metres) from where organized tours to the islands (for snorkeling/diving the coral reefs, dune exploration, flamingo watching, sea mammal exploration etc.) can be organised. Highly convenient not to need any transfers to anywhere for such trips.

*Beautiful cottages to stay in! All cottages that we had (three -- with sea views) were well-maintained, quiet and with very comfortable beds.

We highly recommend Villas do Indico and we only hope that the pool, which was not in operation while we were there, is now working again.

Our family spent the July 2022 holdiay here . The setting was magical. The luxury accomodation was well appointed and clean. The fact that there is only 5 chalets means that it can never be overcrowded. The staff was fantastic looked after us very well . I can certainly recommend this place . We will visit again .

We had an incredible stay at Villas do Indico in Vilanculos, Mozambique. The staff's warm welcome, delicious food, and exceptional rooms made our experience truly enjoyable. The highlight was the boat trip to Santa Carolina Island with Ninon and Steve. Steve's expertise as a skipper led us to encounter dolphins and turtles, and snorkeling revealed a vibrant array of fish species. The lunch on the rocks, overlooking the ocean, was a breathtaking experience. Steve's knowledge and dedication ensured our comfort throughout the trip. I highly recommend the boat trip with Ninon and Steve – a truly memorable adventure! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an incredible stay at Villas Do Indico, a peaceful retreat nestled in a beautiful location. We highly recommend the skipper Steven and his very professional team and crew (Ninon, Alex, etc.) They organize amazing sea safaris in the Bazaruto Archipelago. We embarked on two unforgettable excursions to Magaruque Island and the Bazaruto & Benguerra Islands. While snorkeling at the Two-Mile Reef, we were blown away by a kaleidoscope of colorful fish. We observed the magical flight of the flamingos from a very close distance. It was so Wow! Among the crystalline turquoise waters, we were thrilled to encounter dolphins, turtles, and the elusive dugong! :)) These two trips were truly memorable!
