This place feels like home, the staff is very well trained and without exception always friendly and helpful. Apart from the best view and swimming pool in Vilanculos, the facilities are well maintained and always in good working order. We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeble and accommodating. The layout of the bungalows were really well done, giving guests privacy without compromising distance. We stayed at Vilanculos Beach Lodge in July 2024 for 4 nights of pure tranquility.
The resort is set on a hillside that leads down to beautiful gardens before direct access to the beach.
The individual cottages are perfectly designed with a big comfortable bed and rustic furnishings.
It was a quiet time and there were plenty of sun-beds around the infinity pool or the tropical gardens and with the in-house spa make it a perfect place for a relaxing stay.
The food is fantastic with lots of fresh seafood including lobster available daily. The wait for food, even simple breakfast items, is usually much longer than expected but it is all cooked fresh and when in such a gorgeous place, there’s definitely no rush.
Vilanculos Beach Lodge is the perfect place to a relaxing Mozambique stay.

I spent 8 excellent days at this lodge. First of all, I have to highlight the dedication, friendliness and availability of all the staff, from the person in charge to the cleaning staff, top notch!!! Excellent structure in classic African style. Consisting of very spacious, clean and well furnished lodges. The property has a beautiful swimming pool overlooking the sea, restaurant and spa. Excellent quality of food. The property organizes paid excursions and I recommend the day on the boat to see the Bazaruto islands, the jeep or quod excursion to the red dunes and the visit to the local village.

A charming team who cannot do enough for you in all regards. Varied menu and every meal a tasty delight, freshly cooked and well presented. The beach setting is beautiful with gorgeous sun rises, and night skies filled with thousands of twinkling stars. The morning strolls to breakfast take you through a magical butterfly garden, colouful flapping wings weaving over and on the flowers and shrubs as we pass. After 4 years of visiting the standards have not dropped in any respect and all facilities remain well maintained and fresh. We travel with our very old parents (late 80's /90's), who look forward to their visit each and every year. We went to Vilanculos Beach Lodge on two occassions to have drinks and a meal (we did not stay at the lodge, but were day visitors). The food and drinks were delicious. It is a stunning setting overlooking the immaculate garden, pool and beach.
On the second occasion, however, the staff were quite rude when we had not made a reservation and reluctantly gave us one of many open tables.
It was, however, a stunning meal with live music.

Good day. There is unfortunately no set "Kids Club" but there is lots to do. Bard games, stand up paddles, kayaks, island trips, jet skis and so much more. All can be arranged at reception during your stay.

Basic would include Breakfast, you could add supplementary meals like Lunch and Dinner per person. We do however echo the sentiment shared by previous guests. Perhaps choose the most versatile option (Being Bed and Breakfast) and you can then decide on any given day to dine in or explore other establishments at your leisure. There may also be days where you opt for a light meal as apposed to a full 3 course meal and this way it is entirely your decision on a daily basis.
