We spent a beautiful 2 week holiday in this wonderful hotel in Nosy Be. The hotel is located in a quiet area surrounded by nature. The rooms are spacious and always kept clean. The staff will give you the warmest welcome and will make sure you stay happy throughout the whole stay. Food was delicous and the view from the restaurant is from a different world 😍

We had an ocean view room with a balcony overlooking pool. The room was spacious and it had good ac. The hotel has 2 pools and is beachfront. There are a few steps down to beach and depending on tides, the beach can be very large. I never saw anyone swimming at beach only swimmers were in pool. There is one restaurant and food is good. You need your own transportation as even the hotels next door are not walkable. They have a nice gym and a spa but we were not able to get appt as spa was booked. The hotel is quiet. That's OK with us but if you're young and want action look elsewhere.

Bar is so beautiful and good value.
I went to happy hour time, it was buy 1 get 1 free , it was so reasonable. Approximately 400 Thb and can get 2 glasses of cocktail.
Man staff was so friendly and take care of me well, I visited 2 times while I was in BKK for a few days. I had a very good time.

After 3 days at the north of madagascar, sleeping in the nature reservers, we arrived to the Vanila hotel. From the first moment , when we found on the bed a gift box with a collection of Madagascar spices inside, and smelled the good odor of the room we knew that we in the right place.
The room, the gardens, atmosphere around, staff, and the French menu (we don't understand a word) were excellent. the 2 days on the beach with the turquoise water and the Coconut trees will be unforgettable for us.

A perfect oasis of calm. Following our stay in Tana we arrived here looking to relax a bit more....which we did in abundance. From the pick-up at the airport with garlands, to the drink at the arrival to the amazing views, 10 days very well spent. The rooms (the ones with the balconies) were excellent, spacious and clean and fairly quiet. The walls are fairly thin so thankfully we were leaving not long after a group of Italian school kids arrived towards the end of our stay. Situated on the beachfront, so a short walk to the sea if you feel the need to leave the perfectly good pools. Pool side bars, the Planteur being my favourite, were good and tasty nuts..Good excursions offered at reasonable prices. Sound bikes to hire also, which were useful to ride up the mountain at midday.....Reccomended.

Food poor and very pricey, and hotel isn't near anywhere else to eat. Every lunch for 6 days consisted of the same garlic fried vegetables, potatoes and rice served with each dish. In the end you find yourself eating because you're hungry, not because the food is good. Budget for €140 a day in all.
Pools lovely, but beach is rocky and shallow - no good for swimming.
Get a taxi from the airport - the minibus they arrange to pick you up in is 3X the price (for 2 of you) and when we wanted to discuss items on the bill with the manager, both him and all his assistants were "not available" For 2 days. Lastly, could not pay by credit card (a bill of about €800) so was expected to go all the way into town, draw out the cash, and pay in local currency! Their prices were in US$, and the exchange rate they used to calculate the price in local currency was very biased in their favour. Not the service you'd expect from anywhere but the poorest quality of hotels!
I am sure there are nicer places in Nosy Be where they welcome you, not your wallet. I won't be going back, that is for sure.

It is a very elegant hotel on the beautiful isle of Nosi Be.
Rooms are well equiped, new and clean. It has 2 nice pools and eveything is very well kept.
The resurant à la carte is very good. On the contrary, the one with the buffet is a bit disappointing.
Unfortunately the beach nearby is not particularly nice.
So, considering the fairly high pirce paid, I'd probably go to another hotel which is closer to a beautiful beach.

Very nice charm and quite hotel. Is a 3 stars but i can say is better than some 4 stars hotels. The location is beautiful really long promenade during the low tide.
The garden is studied in details.
The SPA is great really good masseuse and free Jacuzzi (45 min massage 30€).
On your arrival you have a welcome drink than a briefing on the hotel and facilities and escurions that you can do.
In the hotel you have couple few family so is quite and peaceful.
The sea is not really nice but is a good place if you want to stay in full relax.

We were met at the airport by a lady. Not introducing herself, no name tag. No Welcome. Not, shall I assist with your luggage. How was your trip? She just turned and went off. At the car there was a huge man, the driver we learned, no introduction. On board: She told us the time it would take to transfer: 40 min. Then she had a jolly good time entertaining herself with the driver and the mobile. No! Sorry! She said:Do you speak English? And: first time? That was almost all info given except driving through the capital she proved she new the word: Capital.
It really made us feel welcome and shortened the transfer time!
We passed several intriguing places but no information was given.

This welcome gave us a bit of chill down the spine. What would the hotel be?
We were met at a first reception, not the real one. We were asked to sit down and we were given something to drink. When asking what was in the drink we got no answer .
After filling in the necessary form we waited for somebody to lead the way to the room. But it looked like nobody wanted to show us our room and we had to ask someone to show us the way.

We had booked a room with sea view.
Acceptable standard
Room and bathroom look OK and clean
Good sized bed.
Good sized terrace
No wifi in the room but around (the second) reception, it was. And the big amount of 25MB per day was free.
A few things like door handles hanging- light screen slanting (broken?) are but a few negatives.
TV with a few programmes.
Mosquito coil for keeping the mossies away was provided.

Dinner:
what a surprise! Everything perfect!
I would recommend them for a Michelen star!! The service-the food-the live music-high class!
And in general the staff was helpful and kind even if we did at times not communicate well due to language barriers.

The only minuses:
The transfer to and fro the airport. We were told: departure 6:20 but at .6:42... we were still waiting for taxi
So as a conclusion: very good standards all through-excellent dining - airport transfer needs some improvement!
