A hundred meters from the Ampasipohy Fishing Village and a 20 minute walk from LOKOBE Park, a small corner surrounded by mangroves and trees. A quiet place, simple, pleasant for relaxation.

Peaceful and beautiful. Those are the right words for this beaytiful accomoodation. Tou can only reach the hotel by boat from Ambatozavary and it is close to the eatstern entrance of the national park. So you cen enter the park (with a locale guide organized by the hotel) before all the tourist come. We spent a few hours in the park and didn;t see other tourist. But we did see a lot of wildlife. When we left the park around 10'30 am, the tourist from the touristic part of the island arrive. So, for nature lovers, this is the place to stay on Nosy Be!

Nosy Be is attracting more and more visitors. So it can be noisy and busy. Though not at Zara Village. It is a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport and then a 15 boat ride to their village. It is extremely peaceful. The view from the pool and the dinner area is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious but not very luxurious. It has an AC that runs between 6 and 10 pm. The shower is good and you have the same view as from the pool. You can have all meals at Zara. They cook what you want, like pancakes for breakfast or vegetarian dishes. It might take some time because they start from scratch, but it was the best food we had on Madagascar. Zara villages is a 300 meter walk from the national park. So you can enter the park at 8 am, whilst all the others will not arrive before 11 am. We saw all three species of lemurs, and many chameleons. We also took a night tour. Never saw so much during a night tour. The guide was organized by Zara Village. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to stay six nights in total. I would suggest a minimum stay of two nights (for the early visit to the park), but preferably three.
