Eden Lodge is an excellent introduction to North-western Madagascar. It is about 40 minutes by boat from Nosy Be, but feels like another planet. Nosy Be is a rather busy place! There are only 8 lodges (or tented bungalows) at Eden Lodge and whereas we visited for a week in high season, we were one of only 2 couples at... More

First off I think it is fair to state we were very lucky in having the Lodge to our selves for 90% of the trip making it a surreal private beach experience. I am sure the experience would be different with a full lodge. Not necessarily worse but different. The Lodge is accessible only by boat and adds to the... More

This must be the most beautiful place in Madagascar. It is mentioned in the "Best Hotels of the World" guide. There are 8 tented bungalows on the beach with views of the ocean and own recliners and parasol and a massage couch at the back facing the gardens. Walks for lemur and wild life watching, village and school visits, and... More

We stayed right next to the dining hall in a fantastic room! Wonderful ocean view! Have to say it's one of our favorite places we have ever stayed. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. There are a couple species of lemurs living on the property who make daily appearances as they go about their routines. This... We had three nights here at the end of our Madagascar adventure and wow! what a way to end your holiday. With only 8 lodges, the guests are looked after by Joel and his staff with so much care and enthusiam. All the staff from Phillipe, the guide to the cleaners were so friendly. We played Boule and beach football... More

Eden Lodge is on the mainland about 40 minutes by boat from Nosy Be. It is very seclude on a long stretch of sandy beach. A perfect place to relax. It consists of eight open plan timber framed loges with well appointed safari tents suspended inside them. The lodges are large, with ensuite bathroom. They are directly on the beach... More

Spent 3 nights here with my 82 year old mother after 10 days touring in Northern Madagascar, and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of this secluded area ( only reachable by boat from Helleville or from Ankify) . What makes this place really work is the combination of stunning location, the luxurious "tents" (... More

Eden Lodge is one of those places that we'll find hard to forget. A pristine, secluded beach on your doorstep, with crystal clear water, coral and turtles in abundance. Also a forest behind us, with lemurs, chameleons, birds, flowers and a wealth of amazing Malagasy flora. Beyond the hotel, there are islands to explore, awesome diving spots and more lemurs.... We only stayed for 2 nights but wished that we had booked for longer. Beautifully appointed tents, every detail had been thought of. Stunning decor throughout. The food was fantastic and the staff attentive. Exceptionally peaceful and relaxing.

I was a little concerned about staying in a tent but it was absolutely fabulous. The bathroom is not completely open because the tent is covered by a lodge. As for the staff, Haingo (manager ) was very helpfull but not pushy. Ouirdane was great and taught us how to play Katra when he had time,Philip was a very knowledgable guide... More
