We are a group of 19 people, landed without luggage after being mishandled by Ethiopian Airlines. We delayed for over 5 hours, all exhausted. Check-in was smooth, thanks to Rebecca - a very kind and welcoming person. The rooms are basic and noisy (opt for rooms far from the lobby). The food was in a variety and ideal for seafood lovers. The dessert was excellent. For entertainment, they have a team called Bravo, which focuses on whites only. In fact, they were very rude to us (Africans and Indians). The beach is undoubtedly the best on earth; long, clean, clear shallow waters, spectacular sunrise and sunset, safe and secure. The swimming pool is ok, but a resort of this status requires two or three pools. The indigenous people were amiable and welcoming, but the white lady at the front office and the white man in the restaurant were very rude and racist; for everything they believed that they were only doing us a favour instead of offering us a service as guests. On a general note, this place is truly worth a visit. The locals, the nature and the beach all blend to give you an experience of a lifetime!

Dear Guest, we are so sorry to hear of your perception regarding the behavior of our staff: we all work so hard for our guests, of any origin, color or religion, have a wonderful time with us. the entertainment staff works for a tour operator that works for an Italian public: maximum inclusion even for guests of other nationalities, but with the limitations deriving from the language gap. Thank you for choosing us, we will be glad to see you again at Andilana.

Literally a hidden gem in the Indian Ocean! Absolutely worth travelling to; the resort is magnificent. There is absolutely anything you could ever imagine from a 100 year old turtle on the grounds to delicious desserts by an highly qualified baker. Not only is the staff delightful and extremely available for anything, but the general manager is always involved and very responsive to clients’ remarks. The resort is very well organised with external excursion to other islands around and also have plenty of activities and events that help guests socialise. Highly recommend not only for newly wed couples but also families as it’s a multifaceted resort.

There are frankly very limited high end hotels in the area of Nosy Be and Andilana Resort turned out to be very comfortable, clean, with all inclusive food and drinks and certain activities also included. Food variety and quality at the main restuarant was superb. An added plus is the spectacular Pily Pily restuarant. There is also an on ground mini forest to see Lemurs and exotic trees such as the Ylang Ylang which our children enjoyed. Our children didn't joinin the Kids Club much due to the language barrier. The onsite shopping boutique was also a delight! We used the hotel aiport transfers, and guests should be aware that the resort is a good 1.5hrs+ away from the airport. We enjoyed our stay and used the clean beaches, spa, pool, snorkelling at the dive club, quad bikes excursion, enjoyed the evening show (all in Italian). It is definitely an Italian based resort with special commercial charter flights coming into Nosy Be directly, however we personally did not have any problems in communicating with the staff of the resort as mentioned in some reviews, perhaps this is because we travelled in the mid season and not peak season which made it bearable and manageable for both staff and guests and I sympathise that other guests had bad experiences. Overall very good food and services, I would highly recommend this for a family with young children A special thanks to Luana at reception for welcoming us and honouring our requests. We miss and loved Madagascar!

The hotel makes a strange impression and in most cases is not positive. Visitors are large groups of Italians (two large trucks with suitcases), in most cases with children. Please note that most reviews here are in Italian. Like many Italian health resorts around the world, they even prefer to live outside of local time. The hotel is hailed as "really all inclusive." But you will have to pay for drinking water in the room. And unlike all other hotels in Madagascar, they will charge you a "tourist tax", which you will find out when you check out from the hotel. In addition to the main restaurant, the hotel has an a la carte restaurant. You will be surprised that it only works three days a week, and this fact hides the hotel’s website. Local maids have a strange look at cleaning the rooms - they start cleaning after breakfast, and finish somewhere after dinner.

What a disappointment when we realized we couldnt even access to the restaurant to share some drinks for the sunset. To make a long story short: that's a big resort for wealthy people. Not an adventure at all, just a screen shot. A Shame of luxury among a land of poverty. Keep going people! you're increasing the gap between Malagasy and Tourists...

This resort really exceeded my expectations. The resort itself is beautiful, so are the surroundings, included the garderns, swimming pool and beach area. Normally I don't like all inclusive resorts very much, but the food here is so fresh and high quality. No lines in the bars or in the restaurants, not even when the resort is pretty full of people. And really good service, too. Amazing sunsets are the icing of the cake! I can really recommend this place. Absolutely value for money, too.

This structure has many services, wide common areas, 2 large beaches and very good quality of food and local drinks, and also kindly staff! I was expecting better internet connection in the afternoon, while in the morning was very good. What I did non liked was the room floor, from my perspective non suitable but overall everything very good!

This Hotel is club med for italians. This is not the place to relax and find serenity. It’s party time from morning to Midnight with not too much room for escape! It’s like a big celebration and partying - a mini-italy in Madagascar. Definitely NOT for everyone. Definitely NOT Madagascar (but the geographic scenery). Everything was made, maybe uncomfortably forced, to suit the italian common taste. The service is good and the food as well, the italian Bravo staff gives his best and is quite into it, the receptionist do their best to give you good service (we tried to get a refund, they kindly rejected which is fair, also kindly agreed to change our room to a quite one). the local staff (not the italian one) is kind but unfortunately submissive especially the low level workers, seems kinda forced into it. It does not feel like a good experience for them and as a result it weighs on you as well if you have a bit of sensitivity. The rooms are very tacky, super white, but have all the things you would expect from a western hotel. So again: This is not Madagascar, the hotel even doesn’t use Madagascar time :) it’s plus one hour... which is quite annoying. When we checked in, unfortunately we already prepaid 2 nights, the first instinct was to run away, and we actually tried to do that and get a refund but it didn’t work. For those who did the same Mistake in judgment - bare with it, it’s not all bad. try going to The other side of the beach in the side of the hotel which is more relaxing and quiet (it’s where we took the photo), and maybe get away to an excursion to one of the islands - it will Take most of the day. The prices in the hotel for excursions are expensive, we found cheaper by 30% - we actually had to because the hotel didn’t have a group on the day we wanted. All in all the hotel gives great service but is really not for everyone. I would say it’s not for most if you are not italian. The resort is somewhat guarded quite carefully by security and a vast territory that doesn’t let anyone, including on occasion taxi or shuttle drivers, go too close. It’s a kind of island inside an island.. and a crazy one at that!

My friend and I (two Americans) arrived in the afternoon and were refused at the gate. We explained that we had a reservation for 3 nights in both English and French. The guard at the gate simply laughed at us and refused to believe us. Furthermore, he refused to contact reception or let us talk to them. He said in French that the hotel was full and there was no way we ("two Chinese girls") would be staying here. We had to call reception on our own to resolve the issue. They were not even apologetic. I've been to 65 countries around the world and have stayed in far nicer places than this. I still cannot believe we were treated so unprofessionally.

My African American wife was literally stopped at the point and not allowed onto the beach. She was humiliated and escorted off while our 3 year old and I were allowed to stay. I talked to the manager and all I heard was excuses and zero accountability. Disgusting. If you want to stay in a place where they not only turn away black people but all I saw was white Europeans then this is the place for you
